{ Fresh Spring Blooms Around Our Suburban Cottage }

Ahhh what a refreshing spring day around our little suburban cottage today!! Perfect 70 degree weather, fresh blooms, soaking up the sun, weeding & country music blaring...my kind of day! I've been meaning to get out front & weed for a few days now & since today was such a low-key, calm & essentially super relaxing day I got outside & pulled those nasty & pesky weeds finally, got my first little sunburn &decided to snap some shots of our fresh blooms so far..I will say our flower boxes are faux greenery, but more on that later! Come take a peek around our yard at some fresh blooms etc..

These cute little flowers are thee cutest! I'm not going to lie, I have absolutely no idea what these are called or even how they got in our front garden areas...I'm thinking when we moved in 5 years ago we just threw a bunch of seeds & well these are popping up randomly now haha ..maybe?! I'd much rather have our bunches of hydrangeas pop up, but you guysss they NEVER grow on our property. It doesn't matter how much I water or don't water they parish!

This tree is actually technically on our neighbors property line, but it's my favorite & smells soooo fresh & fragrant!

All of our flower boxes are from @homedepot & they're all filled with faux greenery from @ikea due to the birds eating the real flowers when in our boxes!

This little pine tree has special meaning to me!! My mom brought it from up north at our family cottage when we first moved to this house & it was no larger than my hand!! It's now  about 3ft tall..& just recently outgrew its pot! I'll be blogging something fun for this soon & showing it after it's re-potted! I'm pine tree obsessed,so this little guy will definitely be moving with us!

Top knot & sunning that porcelain skin of mine hehe. I think I may need a tan before my vacay haha!

This chippy bench was a gift from my dad that he brought all the way home from up north picking somewhere! I love it & I'm thinking it needs some chippy white chalk paint soon..:)

I hope you guys liked this little random spur of the moment post! It wasn't planned, it's plain, but I LOVE IT! Sometimes the simplest post are the best right?! Let me know in the comments below if you know the names of these flowers/ trees!

Happy Thursday!

{ Simple Greenery Filled Cottage Style Dining Room! }

Hey guyssss!! It feels like I haven't blogged in foreverrrrr { in my Sandlot voice haha} , but seriously you guys know I blog full time usually, but this last week honestly has been just weird.. some people say because the planets aren't inline right now, but honestly I'm not sure why...I've just been in a little funk lately with work {blogging}, inspiration, family stuff { my gram is a bit under the weather } & so on...This is why you only got 1-2 posts the last few weeks..Today {Sunday} was another blahh type of day..I slept a lot, didn't enjoy the outdoors & didn't get my Sunday list done for the week or pick weeds like I planned on..I just still am in a bit of a funk! Sooo to get me a little bit out of this icky mood I decided to snap few photos { with my s7 Edge } very impromptu & share our greenery filled dining room! I've been loving the simple look with tons of creams, white, black & of course greenery GALORE!!

I don't know if I'm the only one who does this in blogland, but that "herb" sign was one of my very first signs from like 7 years ago..I've kept it all these years & still use it all over! I randomly set it here while cleaning & loved it! The greenery plants are from @ikea on sale for $4!

I'll be honest, this little 3 pot tray from the ohhhh so popular Rae Dunn was what had me randomly snapping today's photos..I had this little pot on our refreshed porch area in this post HERE ...well since then I've moved it back inside because the wind kept whipping it around etc.. I just set it on the table  kind of like most my decor haha & actually liked it in the kitchen. I grabbed some flowers from my decor room { post on that coming soon} & added a few vintage milk bottles & some simple sugar cookies!

The flowers are faux & from @hobbylobby!

Super simple,yet still cozy & clean looking! I do have a plan for that wall since I'm getting a tad bit bored of that sign..Stay tuned!

I hope you guys liked this spur of the moment post! It makes me excited for summer & all the upcoming adventures we have booked already!!

Wishing you all a lovely Monday!

{ New Cottage Style Porch Set from IKEA! }

Hey everyone & happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend with friends & family, and of course enjoyed some yummy food! We didn't do much but enjoyed the amazing sunny perfect 70 degree weather with all the windows open, dogs playing, sister time & grilling some chicken etc.. pretty much the perfect day in my book!! My sister & I decided to sit out on our new tiny wooden porch set I picked up last week finally..then it hit me I NEVER BLOGGED IT! I grabbed a few things & snapped a few pictures & am so excited to share with you guys today! So you guys know I change our our patio with the season, holiday , occasion etc.. I usually just use stuff from our junk pile, but last week I decided to take a trip with my sister to @IKEA & when I spotted this little wooden table I knew it was coming home with me! It was under a $100 & perfect size for the space & something fresh to style & use!  Mark's already used it twice to sit after doing lawn care & taking a quick beverage stop! It's super comfy, simple & well made too & for the price it's great! Come see this simple wooden table set below!

How cute is this little set? I think I fell in love with it because of the wood & simplicity! It came with the chairs put together already & two really easy steps to pop the table together! It's super sturdy & I love that the table can be placed against a wall flat! It works perfect for this space! The pillows are from @homegoods!

This vintage tractor sprinkler hookup was a free find & I loveee it! I've never displayed it before & thought it looked cute here! The lanterns are just here for some solar lighting at night & are usually on the table..Before I get tons of emails saying you can't even sit down haha..I promise this space is used!

All the greenery in the three pots are from @ikea!
Side Note: They're having a huge sale right now & all these little greenery plants are on sale for $3.99!!! The planter pot is from @homegoods from the Rae Dunn collection!

The hanging pots are from @homedepot & the hydrangeas are from @ikea!

Well I'm off to go finish a few things, try & get Mr. Wibble { my office mascot bunny } in his cage & sleep because I've been super sleepy today! What do you guys think about this little set up & new table set?

Happy Monday!

{ Spring Cottage Fireplace Update & New Pieces.. }

Hi, guys!!! What a day today {Tuesday} was...yikes!!! Seems like one thing after another, but trying to stay positive I mean look around at the life most of us live...Very nice, right?! Sometimes my little OCD loving heart needs to take a step back & just let things be a little chaotic instead of everything always in its place..perfection ruins things & I need to learn this. I think I've always been like this even as a child, yet also a free spirit always doing what others weren't etc..This leads me to today's post on our little chippy cottagey fireplace upstairs..I shopped with my mom this weekend & picked up some new goodies 2 of them being these vintage inspired wooden pallet stools from @homegoods!! I had seen them before,but skipped on them..My mom was drawn to them right away so I thought why not for the upper living room for foot rest for each of us & then the new sleeker coffee table HERE & I'd love it...Ya, not so much! I got them home & they didn't fit the space at all, but then my mom & I almost at the exact same time looked at the fireplace ..We placed them next to it & I wasn't loving them, but they were great fillers & can be used in lots of areas in the house/outside..so I kept them- for now ha! Come see the fireplace mantel simplified & these vintage crates that weren't perfect for one space, but are for another! P.S. see what I did there hahaha..jk, but I am trying on not always having things perfect etc.. Anyways come have a sneak peek at this work in progress space!

You can actually see in this pic I have them laying down next to the side of the fireplace. I actually prefer this way as I shared on my IG , but I haven't found the right items to style like that, so today I'm sharing this way which I like also! They give the fireplace some added dimension without being overpowering & I loved the rustic pallet wood look! Maybe I'll paint them white...opinions welcomed!

The greenery is from @ikea!

Since the wood pallets give the fireplace so much added charm I wanted to go super simple yet still farmhousy, so I added some glass mason jars I already had & stuck some greenery in them. The weathered wood & burlap flower buckets are from ATHOME Stores!

I love these antique table legs paired with them..& bonus these have special meaning to me as they were from my grandparents 100 year old table I salvaged.

**So now that you had a little sneak peek..Which way would you style these rustic wood pallets? Flat next to the fireplace for stacked like the above picture? Should  I paint them white..?

Happy Wednesday!!

{ Homegoods Bench Turned Living Room Coffee Table }

This week is moving right along around our little suburban cottage! I meant to have something ready for you guys on Monday, but to be honest we were busy the entire weekend & it felt great!! Our Michigan weather was perfect this weekend, so we got outside when we had down time & spruced up the front & back all day, and I may have spent wayyyyy too much money in the process! I wanted something fresh for our front porch area as we plan on selling soon! I also spotted the cutest little bench @homegoods while out shopping with my mom..I did an IG story { my IG -HERE } about 2 out of the 3 pieces I picked up, but kept this one on the down-low since I knew I wanted to blog it! Little back story we've been looking for a new coffee table that was sleek,yet wide enough to still be able to set a tray on & also move easily on our jute rug for when we want to put our feet up etc..We had the matching @ikea ottoman for awhile, but it was just soo bulky & didn't work for that space any longer & this table at one time too HERE ..Skip ahead to this weekend & I found the cutest green bench that I knew would work perfect for a coffee table & foot rest!!! My mom also liked the idea & when we went  to grab it seen it was on sale for under $35!! I snagged it up along with the other two pieces { blog post coming soon } . I didn't think Mark would like it, but he actually loved it & mentioned how much more room it gave us & the pibbs too! Come see this little conversion below!!!

I forgot I had this rustic leather tray in my decor room..It was a free find & fits so perfectly on the bench/table!! The coasters were a DIY  HERE if you're interested & the candles & flowers are from @michaels! The crock was a free find!

I love how cozy  fresh pops of green can make a space! Green is my favorite color & adding this new piece helps balance the chippy green stool I blogged HERE! You can see I loved this look, but needed something a bit bigger..Patients paid off in this case haha

I usually have these two pillows on the back of our sectional so the pups don't try to nest up there haha. They fit nicely under here so why not ha! These farmhouse stripe pillows are from @ikea for $4 each!!

What do you think of this little conversion from bench to sleek coffee table? I'm kind of in love with it & especially for the warmer summer months!  Let me know down below in the comments what you think!

Happy Tuesday, friends!
