{ Cottage Style DIY Small Entryway Shoe Sitting Bench }

Hey guys & happy Friday!! I'm super excited to get the weekend started, but first I wanted to pop on here & share something I put together for our little front entryway!! So, our entryway isn't the smallest but definitely not big by any stretch! I do like that it is somewhat defined & you don't walk right into the kitchen or living but we needed something that fit our little family a bit better especially in the winter months. My husband has lots of gear for work..boots, jackets, hats etc.. most of that is all in the entryway closet that is pretty big, but for fast on the run things he likes them out as do I...With that being said you guys know how I hate clutter or things to look "ugly" haha..so I had to get a bit creative with this space!! I didn't spend any money in this space as it's ever-changing & will for sure get a change in the spring. I used things I had stuffed in my decor room & what not. Come read more below..

With the cold weather comes tons of things...& it drives me nuts haha. I love winter, but I also don't want my home to look like a glove & hat factory..It's also nice to have somewhere to sit while you put on your boots, hats, gloves etc.. I'm still looking for a cute little rug for this space or tray for under the bench!

* The pillow is from Hurlbutt Designs in Kennebunk, Maine. I picked it up last summer while vacationing.

This old milk crate was a free vintage find & it holds all our shoes/boots we use the most/daily. The others remain in the entryway closet.

" WELCOME may all those who come as guest leave as friends"

I should note too, once the cold weather subsides here the vintage metal coat rack will be put into storage. I know I will get the question " Why have a coat-rack if you have a large coat closet? It's just for convenience & easier in  the winter when walking in. The closet homes are more larger jackets, scarves, sweatshirts etc..

I'm super pleased with how this space turned out & kind of on a whim..typical Paige style. It's cute, functional & BONUS stops the dogs from slobbering on the window haha. I call that a win-win!

* Bench is from HomeGoods.
* Striped pillows- IKEA.
* Greenery- IKEA

I hope you guys liked this quaint little post! I've been trying to incorporate more practical, affordable & fun posts on the blog this year because after all "practical home blogging" is my brand. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!! Stay warm,friends!
