{ Finders Keepers Vintage Market HIGHLIGHTS! }

Ahhhh you guys what an amazing way to end the weekend!!! We decided to head out to Chelsea, MI on Sunday for some junkin, pickin' & of course food!!! We've been to many vintage markets in different areas & this one was definitely one of our favs!! Everything from the parking, building, grounds, & food were amazing not to mention the BEST part- treasures galore hahaa! I'll be blogging what we got from there soon, but wanted to take today to show you guys some of the grounds, goodies & awesome vendors!! We loved how organized everything was, the barns were awesome, the easy access, the items being sold & the people were great!!!! Come take a peek at some of our little trip junkin!!

Sometimes I think this one likes junkin more than I do haha! We loves his vintage coolers, license plates & beer mirrors!

I wish I would have got a good shot of all the barns with the names on them...they were so fun!! These pop up truck boutiques are the cutest things ever & always grab my attention haha.

One of the nicest Vendors I've ever met! She was the last booth in the "livestock" barn & I had to stop. Her booth was the least filled but something told me to stop in & boy am I glad we did!!! Sometimes it's the ones you think that aren't for you that actually have the BEST items. Her booth was the one & only one I bought from. ** I'll be doing a whole blog post on the item, but if you want a sneak peek head to my Instagram!!

Markie had to have his coffee & it was soo good, I even had a sip! I mean look at this little vintage rustic coffee camper?! ADORABLE!!

So many treasures...I'm glad we had a set amount of cash on us hahah..I wanted everything is this booth for my favorite porch decor season- 4th of July!!

I hope you guys liked this little peek into our weekend!! I wanted to vlog for you guys but honestly it was sooo busy, we were enjoying each other & I have a huge spider bite on my face..hence the hat hahahaha! Have you ever been to the Finders Keepers Vintage Market ??

Happy Wednesday, pals!

{ DIY Rustic Coffee Cabinet from an Old Jewelry Chest }

Hey lovely pals!!! I hope your Tuesday & week are going well. Ours has been busyyyyy, just the way we like it, well at least most of the time. So, this past weekend we went junkin & I also completed a little DIY that I wanted to share with you guys..So I have been sick for two weeks with stomach issues, & my other chronic stuff..One of the things that always makes me feel better is doing a fun little thrifty DIY or project. Lately I noticed I haven't been doing many of those, so when I spotted this cute little chest/cabinet in my gram's shed I knew I could make it super cute & functional for us!! Me, her & my sister had been in there looking for something the other night while it was beautiful out and of course my eye spotted this piece & my gram said take it- YAY!!! See what I mean when I say I come from a long line of pickers & diy'ers..I got it from my gram & mom for sure, oh & my late papa who was an artist! Anyways, I  knocked the feet off of the bottom & gave it some fresh white paint, and a clean & bam- sooooo cute!! Keep reading below for more information on this gem....

It was a yucky sticky yellow color..I gave it a nice wash inside & out with some warm water & then 2 coats of basic white acrylic paint. I made sure to only hit the areas that were distressed a bit so the old charm came through on the edges, knobs etc.. Speaking of the knobs..I just kept them & added a bit of black paint & then distressed them a bit. The black pulled from our kitchen cabinets & it added that much more charm to this little guy.

You guys know I'm not a coffee drinker but I do LOVE my vanilla spice chai tea haha. So, the reason I wanted to add this charming little cabinet is not only because I was craving a DIY but because the "tray coffee station" just wasn't working for us anymore..It was to cluttered, Mark hated the canister for the K-cups & I needed a change so this came just in time. I love the wood charm, clean but still cozy cottage look.

I kept the inside super simple with some of our favorite coffee cups, 3 mini canisters filled with sugar, cinnamon etc... The K-cups are now easy for Mr. Markie to access without having ours mixed up hahah..men.!!

Side Note: You can see our last coffee station HERE

So what do you guys think about this new little thrifty coffee cabinet? Do you have a little hot beverage or coffee station in your home?

Happy Tuesday!!
