{ Holiday Kitchen Window }

 Happy Monday pals! Hope your weekend was filled with cozy holiday traditions & lots of rest! Ours was a mix of very cozy & fun with friends to receiving some sad news within the family! Though today is a busy Monday, from vet appointments  to meetings etc.. { like many of us } I still wanted to share a space I love to share & inspire with every season! Can you guess? Okay, okkkay it's our Christmas kitchen window!! I love having a window over our sink & a nice white ledge to decorate... Come take a  closer peek below!

I usually go a little more elaborate with this space but honestly I just wanted an authentic simple Christmas kitchen concept.  Like a nice tea towel, baskets, soaps, spice jars & simple berry pinecone garland.

These  porcelain spice jars I mentioned awhile ago, but I just ended up leaving them & adding some gold rimmed vintage tea cups!

The towel is my favorite! It's such a great fresh green with " Believe" in gold on it!  Truth be told, I have almost zero dish towels...Going to have to order some soon!

The main focal point is the woven bleach wood basket tree! My mom gifted it to me & it just so happened to match all my bleached baskets in the kitchen.

Fresh greens, gold & bleached baskets...simple winter goodness with a touch of Christmas cozy!!!

What area in your home are you working on for Christmas? I'm pretty much done, but have two more spaces to share then I'll put the whole Christmas tour together!!

HAPPY Monday!

{ DIY Primitive Christmas Orange Centerpiece }

 Happy Wednesday! What a great but super busy day around here! The sun was out, it was 45 { oh us Michiganders ha } and I got so much accomplished! From outside errands, pharmacy, photoshoot props, meeting, homemade hearty spaghetti dinner & vlog..I'm pooped, but in the best way! I love huge productive inspiring days like today!

So, a little back story..I photographed our 2020 Christmas Porch HERE & after I had already posted my mom dropped of a fresh wreath! What to do? CENTERPIECE!! I brought it inside after a few days & set it on our 1940s wood table..Fast forward to today at our local specialty market while getting dinner supplies I spotted the most fragrant & voluptuous Naval oranges & bam the wheels started spinning ha! Come see more below for this under $30 holiday centerpiece idea!

I'm big on natural scents & just scrumptious stuff like cinnamon, evergreens, orange etc.. Well all three are in this centerpiece/ tablescape! The oranges & evergreens alone make it feel so cozy & festive!!
If we're being completely honest I wasn't going to blog orange Christmas decor this year, since I did it last year, but these were too delicious & vibrant...It's so popular this year!

•TUTORIAL Video:

•ITEMS:

  • Wreath any size for your table
  • Basket of any sorts
  • Towel for layering/ warmth
  • Oranges
  • Any other decor { candles, pinecones, cutlery }

•HOW TO:

Simply take a wreath { real or faux } place it on your table. Grab a basket, bowl or anything & fill inside with oranges stacked! I used a cloth black check towel for a touch of primitive & layering!
Add candlesticks & cutlery/ cutting boards for that comfy festive Christmas charm!

I had to cut into one of these as soon as the shoot was done! The most delicious juicy oranges!

We enjoyed a scrumptious hearty homemade spaghetti dinner under candlelight...So cozy!!

My favorite part about this Christmas dining room...The oranges of course, but the garland lights with a hint of orange glow against the sign!! Talk about charming!!!!

I mixed in check, stoneware crocks & wood for the touch of primitive! I can't say How much I love it!!

{ Fresh Christmas Bedroom }

 Happy Monday pals!  We're supposed to get dumped with snow today, so what better way than to show our fresh greenery splashed bedroom! This past weekend a friend & I visited our local nursery & of course the fresh greens caught my eye...Fresh Cypress greens to be exact! $4 a bundle & they smell amazing!!

I went so simple in this space this year but honestly it's so calm & peaceful & what a perfect day to cozy in with our new down comforter from Downlite as well!.  Snow, greens, Monday off..CHECKK ha! Anyway, come see our 2020 Christmas bedroom below....

I just played off the cream & black plaid curtains we already had up! Since we don't have a bed frame { coming soon } the curtains are our main focal point.  The reason we originally never put a  bed frame in here is because of the backdrop panel of curtains! This room has an odd layout for the windows and we just decided to offset the off-centered window with a panel! Now, that we've found a bed frame..it might be looking a bit different soon!

I just simply draped some of the greenery around & through the chandelier! Ahh it smells so refreshing! I love the way cypress is so easy to maneuver but so dense! It's an easy way to bring the holidays into any space cos efficiently & effortlessly!

This vintage Merry Christmas sign was a junking find at a local market years back! It's perfect for our bedroom mantel & it's double sided! The back reads: Happy Holidays in cranberry!

I struggle with this fireplace because of the shelving a bit! We had a DIY planned for this but I got to inpatient & decided to photograph it anyway! BUT, stay tuned because it's going to change soon too! I just love this little electric fireplace on in here during the winter months, especially since our room runs cool!

I had a vision while decorating this space & I wanted a but of country farmhouse, pinch of primitive & lots of natural festive nature..That's my recipe for this space ha!

  CHEERS!

{ Cozy Whimsical Christmas Corner }

 Happy Black Friday pals!! First we hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving & secondly did you shop today? We beat the crowds or at least a little & shopped on Wednesday! While out getting a few things at good ole Target I spotted some things in the "dollar" area that I knew would add some charm to a cozy little sitting area in our upper living room! I'll also be sharing the DIY from this spot soon! For now though, come grab some festive inspiration below.....

When I say this is probably the most cozy whimsical vintage Christmas space I've shared on here, I mean it!!! From the chalkboards to the gold leaf sayings..antiques furniture & so on!

I really focused my time in the last few months on this living room space! From the beadboard diy to the minimal vintage farm & cottage goods to the cozy linens!

$3 Bell GARLAND Coming Soon!

The flocked  wreath with the vintage Christmas goods add a whimsical antique look I crave!

I never thought I'd finally find my true style but this room truly embodies it! I can't believe I have an orange rug & so much texture with loving every inch!!

I can't wait to show you this bell garland diy!! It'll be coming to the blog soon!
I'm curious, what's your home style? Modern, contemporary, coastal, electic, bohemian etc..?

{ Country Ski Lodge Porch }

 Happy Thursday & almost Friday!! Marks headed to the cottage with my dad for some winterizing & I have almost all my chores done ha, so that can only mean one thing....Girls night OUT ha! Before things get to crazy { I kid } I wanted to share our Festive Winter Christmas Porch! You see when the weather is warm, like today here in Michigan we take advantage of it!!! I was outside quite a bit today cleaning & decorating while it was 62 & sunny! This is one of my most favorite areas to decorate at our little red brick cottage...I must say between last year's & this year's it's a close tie!! Come see this year's cozy porch look....

I haven't always liked this porch...there I said it ha! But after redoing the stting area with rustic wood planks, cleaning the brick & freshening the white paint up I actually adore it now!!

The whole inspiration for this year's Christmas porch was this awesome vintage ski patrol replica sign! It's greatly done , simple & not overly festive...Considering we do have an 8ft tree & 52 inch wreath in the space as well!!

The simple color pallet, overload of Christmas greenery & minimal vintage ski lodge type of decor complete this space!

The "star" of the show is this handmade ski pillow in canvas!

The sled is vintage & I painted it white...but when I pulled it out this year, something amazing happened! I noticed a red chippy patina on it!! It's the original red paint popping through...just perfect for this year's display!

I couldn't be more pleased at how this all came together! It's simple, vintage & festive! What are you using on your porch this year? Are you a skier??

CHEERS TO Friday!

{ Chalkboard Christmas Mantel }

 Hope your Monday was good to you pals! Mine started out just feeling uninspired & blah, and honestly most of the morning I didn't accomplish much... Then Mark came home & started blowing leaves & working on the back, so I got inspired inside to spruce up the mantel & then we came together  outside & started our 2020 Christmas porch! Honestly, the brisk air , honey time & doing some decor / diy pepped  me right up!! Today I'm here to show you how I styled this mantel with 5 items! Yup, f i v e items!!

Come see more below on this Christmas fireplace mantel......

THIS LOOK:
  •  Metal  Candlesticks
  • Cream + white chunky candles
  • Holiday Christmas chalkboard
  • Garland / pinecones

I wanted a chalkboard on the mantel because it flowed nicely with the living room wall decor! Something simple, neutral, festive & vintage/ cottage like!!

Chalkboard from  https://www.homegoods.com

The rug, dainty brass candlesticks paired with the chunky almond ones & oversized flocked garland add vintage & whimsical charm!

The Flocked Garland is from https://www.walmart.com

I had to include a few night photos too. I just love the ambiance of the candles, vanilla almond scent & the anticipation of Christmas!!

I've loved both mantels I've showcased this year, but like almost everything in life..I do have a favorite haha....THIS ONE!!
