{ Vintage New England Style Cottage Christmas Porch }

Hope your Monday was good to you pals. Mine wasn't great but wasn't horrible. Any day that I'm not dizzy these days is g o o d!! I mean it was a Monday, so a few hiccups but Christmas always makes it better. I shared a sneak peek on my Instagram HERE a sneak peek of our front porch & my inspiration for it all... We had the best Sunday enjoying warmish weather here in Michigan prepping the yard, enjoying neighbors, herding dogs & of course sprucing up our little cottage porch with some vintage bulbs & a New England Christmas Style Flare!!!  Keep reading below for more on this space....

W E L C O M E!

Since the rest of the porch is very bold & vibrant I wanted to keep the front door fresh & simple. I added this realistic wreath with a simple red ribbon bow. The new french storm door & the fresh white paint & black knob compliment the traditional red cottage brick.

So a little back story how this porch came about & why I chose this "New England" style vintage Christmas decor..First I've always had a thing for the New England states..like I'm obsessed, and secondly I wanted something different than the masses..meaning plain white neutral. Maine is pretty much my favorite & I would move there if I had the chance to. It's so quaint, cozy & the antiquing is out of this world! The style up there is like no other & well I LOVE IT! I wanted this year's porch to be bold, vintage & cozy with specs of New England!

Side Note: I had all these treasures with the exceptions of the "Cabin Sign"

When I think of Maine or any of the New England states I think of big colorful vintage bulbs, textured picnic baskets, tennis rackets & all the fresh pine greens! I know this is true style up there because well I've been a few times & it's breathtaking!  I picked these fresh blue berry pine greens  from our property & mixed in some faux ones for the color.

The wreath I just wrapped in our vintage bulb collection & added the Cabin sign from HomeGoods I picked up for $8. The vintage toboggan was a free find & I just threaded some red ribbon through it.

The red pillows wrapped in burlap are from HomeGoods & a few corners were "chewed" by the middle child { dog } so I reused them out here! The" Merry Christmas" sign was a DIY a few years back!

There's nothing that brings me more joy than the glow of vintage Christmas lights! When I say I'm Christmas crazy...it's the truth y'all ha!

 I hope you all loved my little story about one of my favorite places { Maine } & why I went with this theme. I'm telling you from my heart if you ever get the chance to visit Kennebunkport, Maine - GO, GOO NOW ha! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Tuesday!
