{ Cottage Style Cozy F A L L Bedroom Decor! }

Today's post is going to be short & sweet because today was spent quite different than most! My husband got home early-ish from work, I actually got ready haha & we headed off to pick my gram up for our belated anniversary dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! Honestly it was the most relaxing, fun & delicious dinner night! The jeep ride out to the Cheesecake Factory was so calming with the breezy cool fall weather & the restaurant was so much fun & bonus we got to enjoy tons of GRANDMA TIME!! Lately I've been thinking how short life is & I need to spend time with family more..I'm guilty of letting other things get in the way of simple family down time.
Anyways today's post is all about warm & cozy decor for the bedroom!!! As soon as our super breezy 60 degree weather hits here in Michigan I love sprucing our bedroom up with some cozy touches!! Our room is definitely our sanctuary & a place we like to cozy up & refresh/ talk about our day or even just snugg the pibbs! Come see some of the goods I put together for a cozy cottagey fall bedroom! P.S. all these items can be found at your local chain stores like +Target , +Walmart , +HomeGoods, +IKEA USA   etc..

I love the orange, tans & mixed in grays for fall! They work with basically any decor & they can warm up any space easily! I'm obsessed the gray/orange combo in the throw above & the storage containers with a bit of gray texture & the straps! The pillows below are so neutral, but offer that cottage/ farmhouse appeal with a fall flair. I mentioned this before, but I crave candles, lights & that warm ambiance during the fall months, so of course I added some neutral vanilla candles. These can be purchased for cheap in packs +IKEA USA . The wreath adds that bit of greenery every space needs & this basically tops off the items  I like to use to warm up a bedroom space.

What do you guys think about these items I put together for our fall bedroom? Anything you like to add/use when the fall months hit? Feel free to leave me comments below or connect with me via my social media links { below} !!

Wishing you all a happy & healthy Wednesday!

{ Simple & Rustic Fall Farmhouse Kitchen Counter Decor }

Today was our 7th anniversary here -->Our 7th Year!  & my husband surprised me with staying home majority of the day! I woke up to him kissing my face & playing with my braid which I was ecstatic about since he works A LOT!! We spent all morning snuggled in bed with the gorgeous 60 degree weather breeze blowing in, & the sunlight drenching our vanilla sheets! Seriously the simplest things make me the happiest! Although around four he did have to leave until about 8, so I decided to wash the house down & of course style something!! That something just so happened to be our kitchen counter/sink area with some cute rustic fall treasures! Mark brought home a huge tin full of goodies the other day & I decided to fill the sink & wash them all...I had no plans of styling this area in the kitchen, but after cleaning I of course had tooo haha! I ended up using a bunch of the thrifty little treasures & just some basic neutral items for fall!

These free dried grass bundles right outside our little suburban cottage that got me thinking about some fall kitchen decor..

These Schuler crocks were my biggest inspiration! My lovely hubby brought quite a few home & I loved the tan & brown neutral ones for this little chippy white stand!  The glass bottle & scale were also free vintage finds! The tiny white ceramic gourds are from +Walmart
 .

I wanted a pop of color so I used this black farmhouse style basket from +Michaels Stores  & placed a green & tan tea towel with some apples stacked in it! The milk bottles are from +Hobby Lobby  & the larger brown glass milk bottles are vintage.

I love how neutral, yet fall-ish this space looks! Our kitchen area is pretty simple, but these farmhouse goods added that cozy vintage charm we love! The cider & donuts sign is a DIY here -->Weathered Wood Mill Sign

I shared on my Instagram here -->TheQuaintSanctuaryIG  about this thrifty dried grass bundle! I use these from outside our front door every year & they add that fall touch for free!!!

The hanging general store sign is a DIY here -->Hanging General Store Sign

These were dollar pumpkins from last year that I spray painted. They worked in this space this year, so I used them again.. The lamps was a DIY search blog under { Glass Lamp Makeover }.

What do you guys think about these new treasures & these simple neutral fall touches?

Wishing you all a happy & healthy Tuesday!

{ Our 7th Year as Husband & Wife. }

Hey guys!!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend enjoying the fall weather & some  festivities!! We spent the weekend enjoying some down time together celebrating our 7TH YEAR OF MARRIAGE! I seriously can't believe this is already our 7th year married..I mean where does time go? Again, with the time thing..it makes me sad that 7 years have passed already, but they've been the 7 BEST years..not perfect, but ours as one! We spent the weekend with a long drive in the country eating some amazing cider & donuts, cheese fries & getting stung by a bee!! I mean it wouldn't be us without hiccups haha...I haven't been stung since I was 5, killed two while sipping cider & boom a HUGE one got me while taking pictures down the road at a little farm stand haha..#payback! Anyways I thought I would give you guys a little look into our life with some random facts that maybe you don't already know about us!!! I'm not one of those bloggers to share super personal information/stories etc.. for posts, but today is an exception here on TQS!! I've put together some pictures from way back when { sorry about the quality} & also some from this past fall weekend of us celebrating! Come learn a bit more about our crazy little love story that started on 5.3.07 &officiated on 9.26.09 !

1. We met at the age of 8. We reconnected at the age of 16 through mutual friends who were dating { who each were our good friends }. At the age of 19 we met back up again on a whim & have been together ever since. We then pieced parts together that we had known each other since we were actually 8 through family & an old neighbor!!!

{ 19 year old babies }

2. We moved in with each other just 3 months after dating { we stayed in my parents basement & lived off of $1 meals for 7 months }. Bought our first place { condo } at the age of 20. This is where the DIY/ renovating love started haha ;). We are now both entrepreneurs in the home business/ field...

3. We were engaged 2 years after dating. He proposed in front of my whole entire family under my grandparents huge cottage Christmas tree { my favorite place } ..on one knee with a custom ring & all!!!!

 4.  We married at the age of 22, and share our wedding date with my late grandpa's { pappa} birthday!

5. Our wedding was 1940's vintage Tiffany & Co. theme...#2009.  Our wedding song was " My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw. We honeymooned for a week in New York City & basically lived a fairy-tale & didn't want to come home hahaha! For our 1 year of marriage we revisited the country club we married at & had the same room we were married in set up for a dinner for 2 in front of the fireplace with a slice of cake we froze from our wedding. Mark surprised me with a mix of all the songs from our wedding day such as Etta James playing while we dined. We also revisited NYC for 3 days :).

6. We have survived many trial & tribulations together...One of the least heaviest ones would be surviving a hurricane in 2008 for my 21st birthday while in Florida eek...We both also have scars from multiple surgeries ranging from a car accident to dog bites.

7. Things we love: trucks/jeeps, Christmas, rescue animals, learning sign language, NYC, home stuff, country car rides & Arabic cuisine.

{ 9.26.09 }

 We always say to each other that we are the opposite sex version of one another. We're that couple that finishes each others sentences & yet can be silent too all while understanding each others thoughts. We aren't perfect, but perfect is boring right?!
Here's to another lifetime of love with you--- Mark, the one who centers me, loves me, SPOILS ME, comforts me, allows my shy/insecure side to fade & most of all you make my heart happy in ways I never thought were possible. You have made my darkest days light & always with your overwhelming sense of humor, joy & genuine happy demeanor. You're the craziest & most fun adventure I've ever been on. Thank You for making me your wife- I'm forever grateful to call you my husband. XOXO

Thanks for coming to read more about us.

Wishing you all a happy Monday!!

{ Neutral Farmhouse Style FALL Dining Room Tablescape }

Finally today I'm sharing our neutral farmhouse inspired dining room & tablescape!! I wanted to share yesterday, but ran out of time to photograph two upcoming blog post which I'm SO EXCITED to share!! If we're being honest & real as I like it here on TQS....I've been soo tired lately & very busy with life!!! I'm excited we're sharing our 7th wedding anniversary { I feel old } together this weekend with some festivities. Our original plans were broken due to work { life of entrepreneurs } but I'm not complaining at all!! Anyways today I'm back with our super neutral farmhouse dining room, tablescape & ANOTHER new dining table haha! I wanted to keep things super simple this year, as most years I go crazy with fall. Going neutral & simple doesn't mean I'm not into fall like other years', it just means it's more my style this year & of course much more practical for the average everyday person to achieve. Come see this fun space below!!!

I actually started my whole neutral/textured/brown/ rustic theme after spotting these yarn pumpkins +Target in the dollar spot section for $3 each! The battery operated distressed gold garland are also from Target dollar spot. I mentioned this a few post back, but I crave lights & that bit of cozy whimsical charm around fall, so these were perfect!!

I kept the table super simple by adding mini burlap pumpkins from Dollar Tree, lace & burlap runner & some brown mason jars!! The ticking stripe cloth napkins are form +Bed Bath & Beyond  for $1.47 each #score hehe!!!

You can see the post on that " Fall Welcomes You" here -->Fall Centerpiece & New Art Piece!

**P.S. Stay tuned for the reveal of this new artist & goods!

Again, like I said a few posts back, my style has changed a bit from authentic farmhouse to a more modern farmhouse style. The rug is from +Ruggable® 2-Piece Rug System  & I'm obsessed with it. You can see the full post here --->New Rug by Ruggable Brand

I'll be getting custom slipcovers for those black parsons soon { our white IKEA parsons were too big, so I switched them out for these}..until then I added some cozy pillows, a vintage picnic basket to warm the space up & some neutral round place-mats.

I'm loving this new big oval middle base table!! I had been searching for one for a long time & finally ended up swapping tables with my gram. I mean it was right in front of my face this whole time haha & I discovered it had a leaf which is going to be great for the holidays!! Little fact about me..I dislike tables without a middle stand/base. They're hard to shuffle around & with a middle base you can move/place chairs so much easier. I think it's kind of a space saver too. I might paint or distress this one soon...;)

These plates are out of my vintage Christmas collection passed down from my gram.

I think the pops of black keep it from being too farmhousy. Sometimes that chippy/dull/neutral style can get out of hand..

I hope you guys liked this fall post. How do you guys decorate your dining table for fall? Are you more neutral or colorful?! Leave me some feedback in the comments below ;)!

Happy Wednesday!!!
