{ Rustic Christmas Basement }

 Happy Saturday from my bed haha! Getting some early morning work done & wanted to share a few photos of my whimsical rustic basement! This is the space where we all gather, but this year first time in nearly 10 years that we're not hosting! Being that's it's still the gathering spot, I wanted to decorate it but just simply! It's a cabin lodge theme year round, so adding some rustic Christmas touches wasn't too hard! Come see a few peeks below....

There's something so magical about simple pine trees & white whimsical lights! My sister had this tree delivered as a wonderful gift to me { my other beloved tree gave out } . I strung the lights & reached as high as I could { haha} but couldn't reach the 7.5ft top all too great. I'm afraid of heights horribly especially with vertigo, so the tops a little sparse ha.

I didn't take many shots down here, but the sofas are the same forest green Lane fabric ones with some new pillows & comfy throws. I wanted to focus on the decor & mantel! Simple trees, green chunky candles & lots of winter antique goodies!

I hope you loved this cozy Christmas basement! It's simple, comfy, rustic & definitely magical!!

{ Winter Kitchen Window Display }

 This is going to be a bit of a shorter post...It's the second blog post of the night & y'all I'm tired ha! I couldn't let this tiny space in my little cottage not be blogged since it's a space I look forward to decorate for Christmas each year! With that being said, Christmas is something like 11 days away, so I better get sharing ha! Come see this cute Christmas window below....

I usually go all out in this space with lights & many cozy Christmas items, but this year I went simple but whimsical!

My mom gifted me these tiny  {super old} brass snowshoe bunnies & basically that was my going inspiration! I still like to keep this space practical...Brushes, soaps, vintage lantern, farmhouse dish rack etc..

Brass bunnies, mini pinecone candles, flocked tree & voila!

I hope you enjoyed this little Christmas splash over the sink window! Makes doing or should I say hiding dishes in the dishwasher more fun right?!

Happy Tuesday!

{ Christmas Mantel Artwork }

 First I need to apologize to you guys...I promised this would be live Monday & well I failed! I'm super busy with the holidays, obligations, life & everything in between aka vertigo/ fibromyalgia! Anyways today isn't over yet & I'm finally sharing this sentimental artwork with you all! I love how unique, cozy & cottagey it is with a French country inspired frame etc.. I shot this at night because it just was so magical with the candlesticks going & honestly this was hard to photograph with the glass/ light distribution in the upstairs living room! Anyways come read why this piece is so near & dear to my heart, especially this year!!

Here's in the day... Still so charming & detailed, but night brings that extra ambiance day doesn't!
This piece was gifted to me from a dear new friend I met! She knows & understands the struggles of a long marriage & the unfortunate coming to a close ending.  She's spoken the nicest words of wisdom & cheerful joy & then gifted me this art with a lovely attached letter to the back!

The gold detailed frame matched perfectly with my vintage chalkboards & brass candlesticks! I love the French charm, detailed Christmas pine trees & the cozy factor! I could even leave this up around winter!

The antique bells were a last minute prop & add something to the mantel + flocked garland. Guess what day her birthday is on?.CHRISTMAS!! She's a Christmas miracle you could say♡.

I hope you loved this new Christmas/ winter artwork & have been enjoying the holidays.  I know the holiday season can be rough for many, so I'm lifting you up & embracing you with a warm hug, just like my new friend did to me! I'm forever grateful.

{ Modern Cottage Santa Bedroom }

 Ahhhh I'm so excited to share this space with you on this busy December Sunday!! I love this space, because well, it's my bedroom! Extra comfy, my sanctuary & rejuvenation! With that being said, this space is super hard to shoot { odd light distribution / layout } on any given day! Today I worked super hard on capturing this freshened modern cottage Christmas room! I can't believe how bright & cozy it turned out FINALLY after all these years of blogging ha! Anyways enough trying to describe it, just come take a look below... .

This year was all about the fresh, minimal but comfy look! I added a simple iron candle chandelier, Christmas chalkboard, Santa pillow & vintage Christmas throw! Crate & Barrel  was a huge inspiration! They're always on point with design, textures, decor & ambiance.

I added some green & gold wrapping paper with a classic chunky red ribbon to hold them together!
Side Note: I forgot to light the fireplace candles for this shoot....

The holiday chalkboard is from @homegoods & is actually the one used in the photo that's in this month's Country Woman magazine of our mantel!! The classic Santa pillow was a gift as a child & the bulb throw is a family antique I was passed down!

My favorite candle { vanilla bean } , vintage TV tray I use for my laptop while working in here, wooden tree art on the wall & that pretty much completes this Christmas bedroom look! I'm bummed I did get fresh cypress this year, but I sure am pleased with this photoshoot.

I'm learning the old saying "sometimes simple is better" is actually better! The lit white light garland adds that whimsical/ magical aspect.

Do you decorate your bedroom or night space for the holidays? Also, poll here, who loves the anticipation of the holidays the most? I love the lead up to!!!
CHEERS!

{ Chippy Cottage Christmas Garden Decor }

 Happy Friday!! I have to preface this post by saying it's going to very upbeat & bubbly, Christmas  inspiration filled,so if you're not ready for the positivity then this probably isn't the post for you today....BUT who doesn't love those thing's?! A few days ago I mentioned on my Instagram stories my mom & I were out on a snowy Sunday in a snow globe blizzard decorating this space! It's the most magical little chippy cottage Christmas in my front garden!! Tons of fresh & vintage finds & some special goods. Come see this whimsical space below.....

How magical & whimsical is this mini fresh Fraser Fir from our cottage up north?! My dad snipped it down for me off the property & this is where this whole creative space inspiration came together!!

This forest green sign is from Target from the Dollars section! It's perfect for outside under the overhang on the front gardens! Simple, classic & large.

I love this chippy white bench! It was my grandma's antique & I'll never part with it! Some simple slices of wood, fresh cypress, , holly  & a vintage sleigh decorate this comfy look!! The solar Christmas lights were the best decision & add that effortless glow within the picture window.

This creative Christmas look was in large part to my mom! She brought the tree down, beaded & brought the finishing touches for this look! I love how magical & Christmasy it is!

Life has been so refreshing lately...kind of like this quaint chippy corner outside! Small dreams do come true, and it feels amazing! Best advice: keep going & take the help!

I had so much fun spending quality time with my mom doing this! Afterall, it is where I get my love of decor, design & Christmas!!

HAPPY Friday!

{ Christmas & Winter Centerpiece Idea }

 Happy December 1st!! I can't believe it's already December...My two favorite months seem to just fly by these last few years or actually the whole year itself! I was thinking last week about something I've neglected here on TQS & that's sharing home decor ideas for nearly any home & a " How To". Well, after I simplified our dining room centerpiece I realized it was time to blog this for you all. This isn't only an easy centerpiece but affordable & can be used after Christmas as winter decor!! Come see more below....

How beautiful & simple is this huge tan crock filled with pinecones & " snowballs". Granted my snowballs here are chunky white candles ha!

•HOW TO:

Grab a crock,  galvanized bucket, anything to pile a bunch of pinecones in! I used a towel in the bottom of the crock to fill it easier! You can grab pinecones from any thrift/ craft store or gather them from outside { bake in oven to be sure nothings on them }. Add some faux snowballs { or white candles} & voila!!

I added a pinecone & some inexpensive cinnamon sticks as plate decor in $1 ramekins for an added layer!

The simplicity is the most beautiful part in my humble opinion! I love that anyone could replicate this look inexpensively, fast, effortlessly AND can doubleas winter decor after Christmas!

Have you used pinecones in your winter or Christmas decor? I hope you'll try this look in your home this season!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
