{ Farmhouse Style Spring Pillow Collection }

Hey everybody!! Ahh you know those days where you have a bunch of stuff that needs to be done, you  get half finished, come home nap & wake up at 11pm... Ya, that was me today! I knew this week was going to be busy for us, but it's proving to be busier than expected haha..I never nap so, I guess I was really tired or needed it! Anyways today as I walked in the door & also as I photographed our office HERE I realized that I didn't have any "spring" style pillows around the house out yet...I did have some last year around this time, but a certain little pibble puppy may have chewed the zippers off..Thanks,Stewart hahah! I put together a little collage of some of my favorite pillows I found while online shopping..I can't wait to order some & blog it! Come check them out below!!!

Time to add some spring pillows with some warm pops of green & tan again...

Which one is your favorite? I'm obsessed with all of them, even the darker one!! I think it's ordering time haha whoops! I hope you like these choices as much as I do!

Happy Wednesday!

{ Farmhouse Office Revamp for Under $100 }

Eekk you guys I've been wanting to share this post for the past week now & finally just put the finishing touches on it today & photographed! I'm going to start by saying this space has really weird light distribution, so the lighting may not be the best, but it's sooo fresh, clean & cozy now! Yes, today's post is all devoted to my lower level semi finished farmhouse style office revamp!!1 I've frequently revamp spaces, but this one needed it for quite sometime now...I started by painting the walls from a dark grey to a light white/grey/blue color { sorry no name on the can }. It was leftover paint from another DIY & I just really liked it for the office & had enough! We ended up tearing down the drop-cloth ceiling we did a few years back & letting the rustic white wood & beams show & touching up some trim with plain white paint we had also leftover! I replaced the old grey & blue wool rug with something brighter with a touch of bohemian feel to it & then just added some vintage treasures I've collected over the years & giving the space a nice clean { just don't look at the other side haha }. We also ended pitching the metal & glass desk & just using the craft table I had with a huge white ruffle farmhouse table cloth from +H&M ! Come see the biggest piece I picked up for this space below...

B E F O R E

Old Office HERE

I didn't have a plan for this space other than I wanted it to be super bright, cozy & vintage inspired! I wanted cleaned & simple,and  everything came together for this space pretty effortlessly which is pretty much unheard of with my decor shenanigans haha! The metal mail storage is from +Marshalls  for $8, the silver paper tray was $2, vintage flower can was free & the greenery is from +Michaels Stores .

I have a lot of paper work with both my husband's business, mine & just craft/DIY stuff so I need all the space..I'm so much happier with this large farmhouse table setup rather than the older small desk! Sometimes I ask myself why I don't change things faster..Oh, because change scares me a lot because to me it's a sign of time running crazily fast these days..

The white bookshelf is from +IKEA USA  as well as the cream farmhouse organizers. The black wood mini filing is from +Marshalls

The piece that brought this whole space together was this huge wood vintage inspired sign I picked up +HomeGoods for under $40. They only got two in which I loved..so one came home with me! It's perfect for this space!

Side Note: It lights up too bahaha..That kind of sold my "kid at heart" soul haha. I didn't get a picture of it lit up, but it's so pretty at night & bonus it runs on batteries!

Other than the paint & sign this was the other big change..FINALLY a new rug!! I've said this a million times, but I'm super picky about rugs!! When I spotted this one on sale +Target  for under $60, I had to get it! It fit & looks so perfect for what I wanted & super affordable too!

I really hope this fresh & thrifty farmhouse office gave you some simple inspiration!! I'm not going to lie I'm obsessed with my cozy new office & will enjoy my countless hours in here hehe..Now to keep the "office mascot" aka Mr. Wibbles our bunny off the rug..haha P.S. As soon as I get some time I'm going to be freshening up the other side of my office with the built-ins & decor & I'll do a post! That side of the office is a disasterrrr, but today I'm enjoying this part! Let me know down below what you think of this revamp!

Happy Tuesday!

{ Our 2017 Spring Home Tour }

Hey everyone!! Thanks for swinging back by the blog today! I've got a fun cheery & inspiration packed post ready to share with you guys..This is one of my most favorite tours of the year..Fresh & green filled S P R I N G!! I've been adding pops of fresh actually faux haha greenery to just about every inch of our little suburban cottage minus our lower level{ see my IG for why}! So, this weekend here in the north it was super rainy & quite frankly gross, so that meant DIY, snuggs & everything cozy! I finished two little projects, snugged with my hubby in bed until 2pm & got to spend some time with a friend & my sister!! Before I share the other two posts I wanted to share our spring home tour with you guys!!! I picked out some of my favorites & will link the individual spaces blogged under the photos for quick access!!

I went super neutral & rustic this year with outside porch decor!! I wanted something fresh & bright, yet not too in your face bright, because we are still having cold winter -like weather here in Michigan...typical ha! You can see our Early Spring Porch HERE

Fresh, green & chippy was my theme this spring!! I kept the color & decor to white, gray, wood tones & just basically different greenery all around for that cozy cottage feel, which has me craving cottage time in northern Michigan!! Topiaries have been my jam lately..These ones next to our chippy fireplace are from At Home Stores!

Spring Living Room HERE

I blogged our cozy chippy cottage mantel HERE!

The kitchen & dining room are my favorite!! They're filled with rustic vintage treasures, greenery & bunches of flowers..I mean that's the epitome of spring right?! Full Dining Room post HERE

Lower level Spring Sitting Area HERE

What did you guys think about our vintage cottage spring tour? I think I'm in love with the feel that greenery & some $5 white faux flowers can do for a space!! I mean the brightness & cheer spring decor brings after winter is so refreshing! I hope you all loved our spring home tour!

Happy Monday!

{ How to Get & Decorate a Farmhouse Style Pantry Easily! }

Hey guys & welcome back!! Today's post is all about our farmhouse style pantry & how you can achieve the look super easily with some cute items that also serve a purpose! So I decided to look back on prior posts a few days back while "spring cleaning" every aspect of out home & business/blog stuff too & came across our farmhouse pantry diy HERE & noticed it was one of our most viewed post ever!! I thought I'd do a little follow up with some items you can use in your pantry to make it more farmhousey the simple way! I gathered some goodies & some newer pictures along with some pictures from the original post! I think this is one of my favorite ever DIY projects we have ever done & for just about free!!!

The above sign is from +Hobby Lobby  for under $8!

We used an old vintage window & just simply unhinged the old pantry cabinet door & hinged the window & attached..Super simple! I added some vintage mason jars with vintage looking labels, painted the window black & freshened up the inside of the pantry with white paint on the shelves. I also added a huge vintage crate & enamel sign from +Hobby Lobby

Hang an apron, labeling goods & storing foods like pasta,spices etc.. in canisters also can help achieve this look & it's so much easier to access too!!! For items that you don't want to show as much you can use vintage picnic baskets, crates or bins. I like to store our can goods in our vintage crate! Adding signs like "market", "pantry" or "dry goods" can also add to this look or even hanging a wreath { I still need to try this one }.

Labels are from +IKEA USA

I hope you guys liked this updated & more informative/ idea post about how to achieve this look the thrifty way! Let me know how you organize/style your pantry or if you have any tips!!

Happy Tuesday!

{ Farmhouse Style Rustic Dining Room Chairs }

Whoa this week has been flying by over here!! I thought I would jump on here today & share something I mentioned a few posts back, but like always got a bit sidetracked with other posts & obligations. Today I'm sharing our new { old } dining room chairs!! You guys know we switch out our dining table like the weather changes here in Michigan, & the chairs too..I've been kind of bored with our parson chairs { we had a black & white pair } & with recently selling the smaller black parson ones I wanted to bring in some more rustic charming ones..& not the fabric wingback or industrial metal ones everyone is googling about right now. Not, because I don't like them,but because I hate going with what everyone else is doing & honestly these were just what I was looking for..They came from my gram & I'm obsessed with them! They're over 30 years old, black chippy & solid wood...Umm yes, please!!! See how our family switches furniture out like crazy hahah..I do love that I can go "shop" family members' homes though! Anyway come have a peek at these cute little comfy wood chairs!!

The one thing I was worried about was would they be comfortable since we've always had fabric chairs. Let me say these are the MOST comfortable little wood chairs ever!! I mean it could be because my legs actually touch the ground or the old wore-in feel they have! I decided to throw this tan stripe pillow on for a little pop of color & because I honestly always sit with something behind me because I have a bad back...

The simple detail of the back & legs are what I love the most! They look so nice with the table & add that bit of vintage charm!

My gram warned me that they were chippy & of course that had me even more excited to take these off her hands haha..I mean the more imperfect the more perfect for Paige ha!  They definitely will be easy to paint if I decide I want to someday..

What do you guys think about these old chippy farmhouse chairs? I think I love them even more because they're from my gram..or because they're super comfortable or just BECAUSE! Let me know what you guys think about these & what your favorite style chair is, I'd love to know!!!

Happy Thursday!

{Lower Level Cozy Cottage Style Spring Sitting Area! }

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend seemed like it flew by, but that's because we had one of the best & refreshing spring weekends!! We got a lot of "us" time in doing things we enjoy together like shopping at local vintage shops, trying new brunch spots, & driving around to new areas & house hunting!!! Yup, it's spring & that means house hunting..We viewed an old chippy blue farmhouse on the most perfect lot, view & well it was quite a fun day..Though we are excited to find a new home with some land, we do love our suburban cottage! When we got home from enjoying our day it made me think how much I do love our "now" home...We walked in the door & cozied up & I started thinking while we were on the sofa's downstairs that I hadn't blogged our lower level much or spruced it up..So today I'm sharing a cozy spring corner in our lower level!!! I usually only blog our lower level family room/dining area around Christmas, but truthfully we do use it a lot because of how cozy & warm the space is! Come see this cute spring corner down below!!

I moved this chippy wood cabinet from the opposite corner & love it here! I love the more sectioned off area & to the left of this is our little home gym area! It feels cleaner & more organized! Maybe I'll do a whole post soon on our lower level!!

This wood piece is actually an old Pepsi wooden crate cabinet, it's also got the matching wood crate! I thought the simple white & green succulents were cute in it!

I love the vintage green glass with the hydrangeas..I mean does anything else scream spring more ?? The hydrangea stems are from +Michaels Stores
!

Everything in this corner were free vintage finds other than the throw, chair & greenery! Sometimes I forget what I have..This little corner proved that ha!

I love that old mini fishing pole! It's over 40yrs old & a family treasure ,so I thought I'd display it! It fit perfectly with our rustic lodge inspired lower level mixed with a bit of spring now!

What do you guys think about this cozy spring space in our otherwise wintery/lodge inspired lower level? I'm excited to play around with this space & show the fresh cleaner looking lower level soon!

Happy & healthy Monday!
