{ Spring Bee Decor }

 It's Friday & I'm blogging..win win ha! I hope your weekend is off to a great start..Yesterday while out with a friend, we stopped in at Bed Bath & Beyond.  I haven't been in one in years & honestly I wasn't expecting to find much....Well, I found two cute spring goods & of course I had to blog them for you! Our winters up here in the north are extremely long & can at times be gloomy..So, even with snow still being on the ground & it only being a balmy 15 degrees out I'm determined to bring spring inside! Come take a peek at some simple spring goods.....

I almost didn't follow my friend after lunch to Bed Bath & Beyond, but super glad I did!! I spotted a newer line " Bee & Willlow", and oh my - SO CUTE!

I picked up this huge bubbled glass jug with a half wicker base & the metal Bee Sign! I love that they have texture are imperfect & neutral with a hint of cream to the sign. I've always loved bumblebees, so why not incorporate some neutral decor!

The shelf was styled with most everything I have but I wanted a touch of rustic spring charm & well this sign made the cut!

Vintage crocks, vintage honeycomb, eucalyptus branches & lots of vintage gold rimmed dishes complete this space!

I hope you loved this fresh simple spring space! Have you started decorating for spring around your sanctuary?

HAPPY Saturday!

{ Industrial Antique Laundry Room Makeover }

 You guys it's FINALLY HERE, laundry room reveal day!! We've been working on this winter project for the past three weeks..It's been on our list for years & just before we move we decided to finish it haha..typical Mark & Paige! Since we're on a standstill with homes, we decided to keep doing projects around this little cottage home of ours. The laundry room was feasible to do during the wintertime here!

It's going to be a long winded post, sit back, get comfy & come grab some simple inspiration below...

●Before

• during cutting of beadboard •

●After

FAQS:
•Under $600 for whole project
• We hired out zero help
• Took 3 weeks of just weekend work
• Space is large at roughly 16x16
• Antique  Industrial inspired
• Washer & Dryer are GE Deep Fill. They're huge  { biggest no agitator available }& were purchased in late 2018!

SOURCES + PRODUCTS:
• Beadboard & trim
• White paint
• New rug
• Epoxy
• Brass farmhouse screw- in light!
• Saw
• Liquid nail extreme
• Antiques
• Metallic brass paint
• Clear spray enamel
• We left the ceiling exposed warm wood

This a space we use a ton in our home! With DIY's , work, 3 dogs & covid looming we are constantly washing something..We had to think a bit before starting this project as the walls are concrete! We didn't feel it was necessary to nail or drill into the concrete all over, so we used Liquid Nail Extreme  from Homedepot.com part of the laundry room had old paneling, we just nailed over. The other part we used Liquid Nail! It was quite the job at first getting the boards to adhere to the cold Michigan winter cement walls..With the heat turned up a bit we were a go!!

One of my most favorite aspects of this new space is the antique items displayed..The vintage inspired sign & real antique framed art from 1940s Canada, brushes, drawers etc...  The wall treatment adds that special finished charm! Lots of laundry room vintage items, but also storage & a changing work room for Mark!

All the furniture is painted black wood pieces in here. The corner shelf with Mark's work clothes { to the left of this } , this vintage coat hanger & the folding table. Touches of green, brass & cream add to the color pallet!

The brass wire basket is from HomeGoods, laundry baskets- HomeGoods, rug - Ollies & sign- homemade!

I love I can sit in here while loads are going, or I'm folding, dying items, ironing etc.. These chippy green vintage drawers house Mark's hats & socks!

All of the hardware from the door handle to pipes to outlets to sink were painted using brass paint & sealed with clear spray enamel!

Behind the door is a storage room that runs the length of the room, carpeted & lighted. "Christmas closet" if you will...

I hope you liked this practical large dressing, laundry room & storage room!

Are you constantly doing laundry like me? Do you have a designated laundry space, room or closet?

 HAPPY Tuesday!

{ Cozy Winter TV Cabinet }

 Well hello my pals! Sorry I've been a bit sporadic on here, we've been super busy getting the laundry room back in order after the mini reno! It's finally ready to be blogged, but first I wanted to share this winter cabinet with you all...It's one of most favorite thrifty furniture finds & I love styling it for different seasons..Our winter has been horrendous with lots of slushy muddy misty mess, but recently has gotten prettier with a light blanket of fresh snow & very frigid! I got inspired by the pretty day & a bunch of baskets...It's been a new love lately...Anyways come take a peek below!

Something has come over me & I'm loving spaces with lots of neutrals, less greenery & more authentic warm deep toned treasures! This view is a new favorite..Love the antique white paned glass from the linen closet & cabinet together!

I found this old rusty candlestick holder in my treasure pile & just added some chunky tapered mini white candlesticks!

The brown mini flocked trees paired with the baskets & lanterns were all this space really needed!

••You can see more of this thrifty framed TV HERE

These little wicker lanterns were a gift from my mom & the simple white candles I  had fit perfectly. This cabinet does light up, but the candles look so cozy during a winter night!

{ Neutral Winter Mantel Design }

 Hey pals hope your weekend was amazing! Our was very low key & relaxing...something both of us are bad at, but needed badly!! Since taking down Christmas I've been craving cozy rustic whimsical spaces all around our home! Well, we may have started two projects in the house { 1 laundry } & one I'll be sharing soon ! 😉  Today, though since I'm waiting on products I ordered I wanted to share the fireplace mantel..YES, AGAIN HA! I hope you aren't getting bored, but I've loved having this mantel to play around with during these frigid months...Come see this mantel styled for winter below....

I shared this same mantel a few days back with a pop of color, today pretty neutral with lots of mixed metals! The clock is the focal backdrop along with some simple winter goods!

The pinecones add a touch of texture & nature, while the brass & candlesticks add cozy whimsical..especially lit at night...so much creamy warm vanilla & ambiance!!!

A few touches of vintage charm..I'm still on the hunt for a vintage antique fireplace utensil stand..

What's your favorite part about this mantel? How do you style your mantel???

HAPPY Tuesday!
