{ Honorable Patriotic Kitchen Window }

 Other than Christmas, the summer patriotic holidays are my favorite! I love mixing traditional, vintage & cottage together & patriotic holidays are perfect for that! This year I didn't go all out like I usually do inside & outside, because honestly with so many life changes I've been really busy! I couldn't not show up on here with a little something though...I owe it to you guys! Come take a peek at our 2021 Memorial Day decor below!

I left the window decor basically the same & just added the folded flag! I also kept the vintage style brass & popped some mini flags in the greenery!! The vintage brass bells added charm & a patriotic touch if you will.

I was photographing & had stopped to go see what the animals were doing in the upstairs living room...Came back & Mark had set this can of coke here! Normally I'd say something like " Come on, I'm working here buddy", BUT  what's more classic than an ice cold Coca-Cola ?? Ha!

May all those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom be honored today & always!!

HAPPY Sunday!

{ Summery Wood Kitchen Hutch }

 Over the past few weeks I've done a lot of soul searching as cliché as that sounds.  It's hard stuff, uncomfortable & at times heart wrenching! While working on myself I've also been working on the house....Odds & ends , and many updates + repairs while still searching for our 3rd home! I've been really into going out of my comfort zone & using different ways of decorating..LESS IS MORE is my goal! That's hard for a comfy cottage enthusiast like me, but I started with the dining room & I think I got it both minimal + cozy....Come see if you think so too!

It all started with this beautiful milkglass piece my mom brought over last week! She has an eye for random nifty gifts & this one was so awesome! I randomly set it here on these vintage 1931 plates { local barn sale finds } when I was cleaning! I just so happened to love it & then the wheels started spinning ha! I ended up clearing out the huge pine furniture hutch & replacing with more simple neutral & cohesive decor!

I photographed this whole post before realizing I had forgot the new candlesticks!! I almost deleted the shoot when something came over me & I thought, imperfect is perfect, and here we are!

The crisp warm brass for summer is my favorite!! It's  got cozy vintage appeal, but also warm & fun! The white parsons chairs pair nicely with the pops of whites from the pitchers & wood accents via the cabinet!

I hope you loved this new minimal- ish summer dining room!! • What's your favorite item for summer to use??

HAPPY Thursday!

{ Neutral Summer Fireplace Look }

 This has been one of the longest weeks for me since 2018 when I was sick for weeks! Thing's have been all over the map around here, but one thing that stay consistent me - blogging, decor & writing!

Although I'm in a level 7 pain right now { I'll explain later } I wanted to put up a few images of our fresh spring mantel with some amazing pots from @homegoods ! This is one of my favorite areas to refresh & after spotting the pots I had to style it...A FEW different ways! •Come see more below on how to get this look...

This is one of the 3 different looks with mostly the same items! I've never really disclosed this, but as a photographer & blogger you take tons of photos for that shoot & then you get the fun task of going through the roll & picking the images that look best etc.. Sometimes that's hard, hence why I'm showing the same shoot styled a few different ways!

I wanted a super neutral look that entailed a bright fresh summer ambiance with a lot of countryside cottage charm! After the last few weeks, it's much needed! These Atlas masons from Maine are some of my favorites! The seltzer bottle brings in that summer vibe with staying cozy vintage & neutral!

The going focal point were these wicker jute clay bottom like planter pots that are super unique & these massive stem bundles!!

The stem bundles are so large & that's particularly why I loved them because they fit effortlessly in this vintage inspired laundry basket by Magnolia!

I added this bronzed piggy last minute & liked this look too ha! I don't know why this shoot was so hard to decide..I'm thinking because I love how I executed the look! Which look is YOUR favorite??

HAPPY Monday!

{ The BEST gift Idea }

 Hey pals welcome back to TQS!! Things have been so busy our way & unfortunately not just busy, but also sad! On April 11th 2021 we lost my uncle Randall at the young age of 63! It wasn't only my sister's birthday but also the loss of an amazingly decorated & colorful person! Randall was actually my step uncle who married my auntie when I was 18! He had been part of our family since my mother & auntie were young children, and fit in our small family unit so well! He was a dedicated honorable soldier, father, husband, steel engineer & all around one of the most genuine + comical people. His battle with thyroid cancer was quick & death even quicker....We're  all in shock still. A few days after his passing I got a DM/ Email from a company that wanted to collab! Now, if you know me, you know I usually only collab/ sponsor/ work with companies that fit my blog niche. I get offers consistently through the weeks & months that I decline, but something told me to open this...SO glad I did!!! Keep reading below for deets on the BEST gift for anyone at anytime!!

When 3DLASERGIFTS reached out I knew I had to pick this collab up! All I could think about was how much my auntie would enjoy having this memorable necklace with her favorite photo of Randall on it!
I have to say I was skeptical about the photo coming out because of the older photo quality etc. . The photo is of Randall on his boat on the lake wearing a vest! That was no easy task, but 3DLASERGIFTS did it!!!!!!

The team at 3DLASERGIFTS is giving me a code to share with you all..QUAINT35 for 35% off anything on their site!! With Mother's Day approaching I'd be a  great gift!

I am so pleased at the level of precision & how authentic this company has been!

I hope you love your new laser item as much as I love this for my auntie! Happy & healthy weekend to all!
