You guys it's FINALLY HERE, laundry room reveal day!! We've been working on this winter project for the past three weeks..It's been on our list for years & just before we move we decided to finish it haha..typical Mark & Paige! Since we're on a standstill with homes, we decided to keep doing projects around this little cottage home of ours. The laundry room was feasible to do during the wintertime here!
It's going to be a long winded post, sit back, get comfy & come grab some simple inspiration below...

This a space we use a ton in our home! With DIY's , work, 3 dogs & covid looming we are constantly washing something..We had to think a bit before starting this project as the walls are concrete! We didn't feel it was necessary to nail or drill into the concrete all over, so we used Liquid Nail Extreme from Homedepot.com part of the laundry room had old paneling, we just nailed over. The other part we used Liquid Nail! It was quite the job at first getting the boards to adhere to the cold Michigan winter cement walls..With the heat turned up a bit we were a go!!
One of my most favorite aspects of this new space is the antique items displayed..The vintage inspired sign & real antique framed art from 1940s Canada, brushes, drawers etc... The wall treatment adds that special finished charm! Lots of laundry room vintage items, but also storage & a changing work room for Mark!
All the furniture is painted black wood pieces in here. The corner shelf with Mark's work clothes { to the left of this } , this vintage coat hanger & the folding table. Touches of green, brass & cream add to the color pallet!
The brass wire basket is from HomeGoods, laundry baskets- HomeGoods, rug - Ollies & sign- homemade!
I love I can sit in here while loads are going, or I'm folding, dying items, ironing etc.. These chippy green vintage drawers house Mark's hats & socks!
All of the hardware from the door handle to pipes to outlets to sink were painted using brass paint & sealed with clear spray enamel!
Behind the door is a storage room that runs the length of the room, carpeted & lighted. "Christmas closet" if you will...
I hope you liked this practical large dressing, laundry room & storage room!
Are you constantly doing laundry like me? Do you have a designated laundry space, room or closet?
HAPPY Tuesday!
