{ Dining Room Neutral Fall Corner }

•Short post •

I didn't really have anything planned today { Sunday} to put out tomorrow  { Monday }. I usually always have a post lined up for you on Monday, but honestly I'm exhausted! We're taking on some big projects around here until if EVER at this point find our forever home. Anyways, I remembered I shot this cozy fall corner & I never shared it. It's super simple & VERY neutral! Basically it's the easiest styled  for any home area!! Come see the full post below...

I went super neutral in this whole dining room & wanted to incorporate a cozy nook in the dining room as well. "Comfy old fashioned harvest farm" . Lot's of dried foliage, baskets & white pumpkin gourds!

The white & grey ticking stripe curtains add that old fashioned farm look paired with the vintage wood chair & decor.

The vintage stripped white washed frame & mini wood prints inside add the focal point to this comfy fall corner.

I hope this easy simple & uber short post gave you an idea for your home!!

Happy Monday!

{ Simple Fall Sitting Area }

 Happy Friday pals!! Isn't it weird how some weeks fly by & others drag on?! This week seemed to fly by & I'm ready to park it in this cozy spot I'm sharing today!! I haven't shared this spot much, but it's super comfy & perfect for Saturday lounging together! I didn't do much, but add some fall emerald green throw pillows, burnt orange foliage & a light throw!! Come see more below....

This $65 massive 9x12 rug was such a great deal & find for this space & actually season for that matter!! It's cozy, warm & minimal cleaning . It adds that comfy warm rustic fall feel paired with the emerald green throw pillows & crisp white slipcovered wingback chairs! I love sitting here with Spark { Mark } sipping ice cold Cokes on the weekend!

Bright bold fall foliage, vintage wood plant table from my grams, solo pumpkin & widdled wood mallard duck as decor!

I'm really into bold colors, with a touch of whimsy! The rug is the vintage whimsy aspect, the many textured baskets from the floor to both tables add cohesiveness + classic harvest fall vibes!

Do you have a favorite sitting area in your home? What makes a space comfy for you? I hope you loved this comfy fall sitting area in our little cottage home!

Happy Friday!

{ Free Amber Bottle Fall Centerpiece }

 This is one of those post I'M SUPER EXCITED to share!! It's cozy, festive & FREE! One thing I love to share with you guys my pals is cozy farm/ cottage decor inexpensively when possible! Today is THAT day! Amber or brown bottles are super cozy for fall & have made a huge step in trends in the last few years..I remember walking on my grandma's beach " Lake Huron" collecting smoothed washed up glass on the rocky shoreline! Anyways, I'm here to share an inexpensive replica of vintage amber bottles! Every now & then, Mark likes to enjoy a cold one..Banquet by Coors especially.  I don't care for beer in the least, but when I spotted these bottles I knew I could DIY with them & show you how as well!!! Let's be honest not everyone has time to antique or buy expensive vintage goods, so let's improvise & upcyle together...Keep reading below!

•Video on prepping the bottles:

Item's used / How To:

. Coors Banquet bottles or any brown glass bottles on hand.
. Grass stems or anything fall foliage etc.. I snipped have a bundle & divided into six glasses. I trimmed the stem bottoms to fit nicely in the bottles..I also shook them to clean/ shed before placing them!
• Side Note: Use a brillo  pad for any glue left on the bottles.

STYLE #1

For the first look I simply washed, dryed & stuck the stems in lined up bottles. Easiest tablescape ever!! The bottles reused & the stems free! It's warm, rustic, festive & most of all thrifty!!!

STYLE #2

Style two is super similar to style 1, but I added some fun muted pumpkins! These pumpkins were less than $4 each & 3 are years old! Thrifty..again!

STYLE #3

Style 3 is the warmest  in my opinion! It's also still very thrifty & warm from the bottle ambiance! I added the gravy bowls with some mini candlesticks & cutlery. The gravy bowls are just our regular gravy bowls { p.s. hate gravy haha } & the mini cheeseboard cutlery were $3 from the Target dollar stop!

Whoa that was a long post! I hope you enjoyed the breakdown of looks, items & video! It's always nice to do something thrifty & simple but also makes a big impact! • Are you into amber/ brown glass?

Happy Wednesday!

{ Outdoor Fall Bench Decor }

 A few days ago I shared our fall porch  HERE ! I also mentioned I wanted to share another look with this new { old } vintage black bench with some colorful fall goodness ideas on styling a fall bench outside. I kept it super simple , but I go into more detail below with what types of items to use, how to make it cozy etc..  This will be a quick post , but hopefully you gather some inspiration for your porch, bench or seating area for those comfy cool fall nights!

I wanted this porch bench to be super traditional first of all. Classic orange mums, L.L Bean fall boots, rustic metal lanterns & chippy black paint! The star of the show?.. The vintage "Gathering " lacquered sign from Mark's gram & grandpa!..Truly a treasure for me. Fall garden meets fall in New England if you will ha.

Item Ideas

. Mums
. Lanterns
. Pillows
.throws
.Signs
. Buckets
.Crates
. Pumpkins
. Wreaths
. Corn stalks
. Watering cans
. Kale bushels
Basically ANYTHING fall!

I kept the color pallet to cream, black orange & wood tones. I'm a firm believer in too many different items & colors can look overwhelming/ cluttered.
The cream & black chalkboard was a nice backdrop & the layered wheat wreath pulls in from the pumpkin foliage nicely!

I hope you enjoyed some ideas on how I put this fall bench/ porch decor together!

Happy Tuesday!

{ Pumpkin filled Fall Kitchen Window }

 Happy Friday! Another long week but thankfully it's the weekend & we're ready for everything fall entails!! The temps are super low here in Michigan & the cider mill is screaming our name! While cleaning up today I got side tracked { of course } & decided to style our kitchen window for fall! This is one of those spots I absolutely love showcasing seasonal decor & fall is no exception! I spotted these awesome new pieces & wanted to style them & share with you..my pals!!! Come see more below!

I'm loving the rusty orange & browns  this Fall! Lots of crocks, vintage signs, neutral pumpkins  & of course some antiques mixed in!! The tea towel isn't one we actually  use, but I definitely wanted to showcase it in this photoshoot! It was a gift & it's an old tea towel that's about 50 years old..totally love it!

The star of the show other than the antique tea towel are definitely these vintage inspired porcelain spice jars!! I spotted them & had to have them. They're not mass produced & I love the brown & white vintage/ antique appeal! I had an old pair but unfortunately they deteriorated & basically parished. These are a great replica!!!

It's always nice to wash dishes with a bright clean decorated spot like this right?! I used foliage & greenery I had on hand & just put out some cute pumpkin scented soaps & cottage was brushes!

I added in the touch of fall with these cascading neutral mini burlap pumpkins!

One of the best decisions was adding this Hearth & Hand wallpaper backsplash by Magnolia HERE

I hope you loved this cozy kitchen window look! Do you decorate your kitchen window? I know it's an odd spot but boy does it brighten our kitchen! I'll probably always even in our new home decorate this spot!
• What's the oddest spot you decorate?

Happy Friday!

{ Traditional Autumn Front Porch }

Another week here on TQS! Happy Monday pals!! We enjoyed the weekend with absolutely nothing big going on but lot's of doggy snugs, fall food goodies & naps! A few days ago before an appointment I styled this little porch of ours with some neutral traditional colonial goods with a few simple fall touches!! In all honesty  it's the most simple fall porch I've blogged in years! I was going to revise it, but then actually liked what I had...SIMPLE! Come see more & read how I achieved this look in 5 steps...

• 5 elements for this fall porch!

1. Wood
2. Pumpkins
3. Dried foliage
4. Seating
5. Minimal decor

The bench was a dream piece!! I've always wanted a chippy black traditional colonial wood bench!! I love the style, size & design..Although, I have to admit it wasn't my thrifty score, but my grams' actually!!

I didn't want any bold colors taking away from the piece, so I used faux dried foliage & a bunch of white pumpkins in vintage weathered crates!!

Everything pairs nicely with the traditional paned windows/ door & bold authentic cottage brick.  The planked wood floor adds judt enough warmth for that cozy fall feel.

I love when these grasses  turn into long "wheat like" stems blowing..Perfect for fall & bonus the chunky wheat stem wreath paired nicely!

Thanks for joining me on today's posts! Do you decorate for fall on your porch or stoop? I'm curious if you do, do you use real or faux pumpkins/ neutral or colored? Let me know in the comments!

HAPPY Sunday!

{ Pumpkin Patch Fall Mantel }

F r i d a y!!!! Long week but I couldn't start the weekend off without sharing another fall mantel with you -my pals! I only changed up a few things, but that's why I wanted to blog this second fall mantel to show you that you  don't always need to switch a bunch of things up decor wise to achieve a new look! Using things you have, replacing minor items for a whole new look!!
•You can see the original mantel HERE

I kept the same garland & foliage! I added the tall whimsical cream & brass word sign for that cozy fall feel & add a focal point!!

Although, I removed the wood widdled duck from the mantel, I did add this wood duck charcuterie to the coffee table & placed the other wood duck elsewhere in the living room..cohesivenessis key to a well designed space!

I wanted height the sides, so I added this vintage green weaved hamper! It's one if my favorite finds from

The main item on the mantel was this salvaged painted pumpkin patch sign!! It was part of another piece that got ruined, but I couldn't let these lovely painted pumpkins go! They add a nice backdrop & art ambiance!

Do you switch around decor constantly with little changed or BIG changes? I could go either way depending on my back..haha!

Happy Friday!
