{ Warm Fall Cottage Centerpiece }

This was one of those titles I was like hmmm what actually is this title haha, but I promise it's a cute post! So, two weekends ago we went up to the cottage & of course I antiqued. One of the items I got was this classic " Cheese & Quackers " charcuterie that I knew would be the cutest on the table for fall! Come see how I styled this cute guy, along with some fall goodness below.....

I wanted a fall centerpiece that entailed a classic New England theme of coming in from a brisk fall day to some tomatoe bisque or warm buttery squash  soup!

I used my favorite diner style plates to raise the mini textured basket & white capped glass bottles!

I got the cheese cutlery set from Target & this mini set was perfect for the vintage cheese board & fall decors!! I added the vintage inspired almond bottle for layering & well, because almond in the fall is DIVINE!!

Lots of warm woods, casserole dishes, & cozy greenery stuffed in a farm flower basket!!
• I'll add more pumpkins soon, but you can see in a few photos on here ..I snuck some white pumpkins in one corner ..for now!

I hope you loved this inspiring centerpiece! Some glass bottles, cutting board, greenery & dishes..Simple & cozy  goodness!
• What's your favorite fall dish?

HAPPY Thursday!

{ Classic Vibrant Fall Mantel }

Today is already starting out super busy from rug washing/ sofa washing to house papers { selling } & both of us have dentist appointments! With 3 large dogs & one being a puppy I wanted a new rug for obvious reasons & stumbled upon this comfy fall inspired one for under $70 not to mention it's HUGE 9x12 !! After laying it down I couldn't help but decorate for fall because, well I love the season & I needed a refresh...Plus I'm over this humid weather in Michigan that makes my vertigo horrible!! Come see some new finds, bargains & purchases below!!!

I first picked up this garland with the matching branches.. [ see tag still on it... WHOOPS ] from Target! It was a bit pricey but worth it for the look. I did try Michaels with no luck! Using matching mantel garland along with the branches well pull everything together & build it up!

I left the massive wood green sign because I still love it & now especially with the rug/ fall decor!

I only added two orange pumpkins & I actually love it!! I tend to do more classic inside & more neutral outside { I can't wait to show you the porch..so different}

The duck was part of my antique haul from vacation last weekend & I'm obsessed with him! I love ducks & the wood against the chalkboard to hide the cable is great!!

The brass candlesticks, vases etc.. are all from uo north! • See last post for info!! I hope you loved this FIRST of many fall post!!!

HAPPY Thursday!

{ Weekend Cottage Antique Finds }

You know what's good for the soul? Weekend cottage trips, copious amounts of country home cooking & ANTIQUING!! We headed up to our cottage in Mesick Michigan this past weekend for a dog free, stress free getaway! We two- tracked, took beautiful club car rides around the property, floated in Crystal lake & best of all ANTIQUED while exploring Northern Michigan! We were heading to Bear Lake & Elberta when we came across the cutest middle of nowhere roadside country home & barn. An 80 year old elderly couple with the prettiest property & barn of goodies! Here are some of the items I found.....

•NEW VLOG: YouTube

I've mentioned this before, but I loveeee ducks!! Not geese, birds or swans JUST DUCKS HAHA! When Mark spotted this wood duck charcuterie board I had to have it!

I also have always loved brass especially with the changing seasons, so I picked up these vases for $3 & $6 dollars!!

The engraving & leather strap add charm to the charcuterie/ cutting board!

The mini wood duck I literally snatched up like a crazy lady haha! He's adorable & is made of widdled wood! The candlesticks are heavy brass & were only $10 for the pair!

I hope you love loved these quick finds from our weekend! What's  your favorite? What do you look for while antiquing??

HAPPY Monday!

{ Meet our New Rescue Dog }

Today, August 17th is my 33rd birthday! I feel so old & actually a bit weird saying that....33?! Anyways today is going to be an emotional post because I'm sharing our new rescue- Sugar with you all!!

Well, where do I start? This weekend was a whirlwind but in the best way { minus my vertigo migraine today }.
•Story: Wednesday night my husband came across a young female pit being given away on Craigslist...She was being kept outside in a horrible part of town in the heat with minimal care while flies chewed her ears! We jumped into action & started trying to secure her..Easier said than done! It took 48hrs & $175 to get her on Friday evening.  I was scared for my life pulling into the area not knowing it wasn't safe. Thankfully 3 friends accompanied behind me until we secured her.
WELCOME- S U G A R to our brown pibble pack!!

{ Cozy Summer Bunny Centerpiece }

Happy Thursday pals!! I hope your week has been amazing thus far..Ours has been BUSY!! Busy ranging from scalp surgery round 2 to rescuing a Kune- Kune pig , blog issues to house hunting stuff! It's not even Friday & I'm exhausted & overwhelmed! It doesn't help that my heads hurting & vertigo is rising.... I wanted to come on here & share something I put together in the dining room while trying to get rid of this horrendous headache & anxiety! I've been loving the more " garden english cottage " look verse the farmhouse style! After stopping over my mom's house yesterday she gifted me these cute little chubby bunny figurines she picked up at @homegoods ! They inspired this centerpiece! Come see more below...

 These little buns were my going inspiration! I think rabbit decor gets mistaken a lot for being just for the Easter season, but in fact they're very english cottage or garden style! For me personally, I love them because they add that whimsical cozy feel & well, because I loveee bunnies! They're my favorite!

The mini greenery, dark green branches & basket pair well with the table & cushions! The greens flow nicely it's got a lot of similar tones & is all around simple but very inviting...Just as summer should be!!

The basket ties in nicely with the dining room wall organizer baskets &  adds that touch of texture in the vignette! I popped some greens halfway in the picnic basket & it added that instant "garden gathering " vibe! Maybe food for the bunnies perhaps?? Haha!

This is my favorite shot from this shoot! I love the rustic english cottage  appeal from the textures, barn door &  summer sunlight! I need something for that barn door but for now it's just glorious in its almost 100 yr old goodness!

HAPPY Thursday!
