{ Classic Thanksgiving Tablescape}

This whole year has been really rough. When I say rough, I mean hard. Very hard both physically  & emotionally.  It started last Thanksgiving when I got violently  ill at our yearly  hosted Thanksgiving  dinner....
Anyways  let's back up ha, so each year I usually  skip a Thanksgiving  tablescape  because 1. I'm  pescatarian &  2. I don't think turkeys  are very appealing to decorate with. Well, I  vowed  to get stronger this year both for myself  & my business ,and although  it's  been hard I'm trying ...Back to this business  part, I've  been stepping  wayyy out of my comfort  zone recently  & even blogged a bunch of Halloween  posts  which I  never do but did!!! So this year before fastfowarding to Christmas I made time for a fabulous  Thanksgiving  Tablescape & I'm sharing today...eeek!!!!!

I have to be honest with you guys...I had no intentions of doing a Thanksgiving tablescape until I spotted this beautiful  orangey red garland @Michaels !! All their fall collections were on sale 70% making these garlands only $6 & some change!! I snagged two up & knew exactly  what I wanted to use them for!!

I wanted a comfy  rustic cottage  look with tons of wood, oranges & textures mixed with a little  whimsical like the informal  vintage plaid dishes, gold silverware for warmth & lots of crisp whites!

• Side Note: I bought 4 of these masons at Michael's as well on clearance!! They light up too.

Little  fact about me, I have next to nothing as far as Thanksgiving  decor goes, BUT I  did have this turkey randomly in my cupboard haha...I'm  not sure where he came from but HALLELUJAH!! He fit perfect in my new pie dish & I added some cotton stems to him!!

I'm  so glad I went on a shopping spree & bought all new cooking casseroles & dishes..The wood, white & traditional  orange go so well for this Thanksgiving  look!

I've  been having so much fun playing  around with this  table..I've  never had a rustic wood top..Always  white orange different material..I love how everything  looks against  this 40+ year old tabletop! The dark black throw/ runner even paired nicely.  The faint orange lines pair nicely  with the garland.

Do you host Thanksgiving? We do every year, so I'm  super excited to show off this new table & little  tablescape...seeing as it's  pretty much Christmas  in here bu Thanksgiving  usually  haha! Learn to slow my roll .

Happy Monday!

{ Inviting Fall Fireplace Sitting Area }

Thursday's are my busy days typically  & today is no different!! I have errands,  doctor appointment, laundry, blog  obligations & little  things in between! I had a lot going on today & instead  of twiddling  my fingers sore in anxiety, I decided on a whim to freshen up our living room  fireplace  mantel. I wanted a vibrant  classic warm sitting area  with bold punches of color & vintage  items..again, New England  style if you will!!! I grabbed a few of my favorite  things & cozied  of this fireplace  sitting  area...Come read more below!!

I love the bright vintage  green with the burnt oranges,  reds & yellow tones!! The white backdrop  of the paint make everything pop!! I added vintage books for warmth & the gold leaf  writing on them added charm as well.

I love this magazine  baskets from @homegoods ! It's  the perfect  size, texture  & look!!

I added the numbers for that effortlessly  vintage  cottage  feel, with a hint of whimsy  whimsical  vibes!!

The middle pillow is from • Pottery  Barn• & reads: You can have it all

What do you think of this cozy  classic fall fireplace  look?

Happy Thursday!

{ Rustic Fall Harvest Dining Room Display}

Happy Tuesday, pals!! It's been a long day starting at 6am, a massive fat spider crawling out of my mums & a tub of brown paint completely falling off the counter...but not going to lie it's been super productive & fun!! Taking the bad with the good is soooooo hard, but we've got to. I styled +photographed two upcoming posts & can't wait to share..one is something I really haven't blogged a lot & the second  is today's  post!!!!! I had a busy morning followed by lots of laughs & then the inspiration  bug it!! I decided to run outside  in the rain & move the mums inside & spruce this dining  room of ours up..{ more on that  soon}.  I love the vintage farmers' market look, so I basically  recreated that look for you with some basic goodies!

These mums did pretty well considering having me as a plant mom haha ,not to mention braving our wonky Michigan  weather ups & downs!! I bought four at the beginning  of September..two reds & two orange..Somehow  the orange ones totally  turned colors on me!

I just  loveeee the browns, classic oranges , woods  & textures  around fall!! Little  fun fact about me, I've  been into amber bottles  for YEARS!! I know they're  super trendy right now but if you look back at my posts..you'll  spot these free beauts! I picked up these vintage  inspired  brown masons @Michael's today for 70% off making them under $5 each & they can lite up!!!

The chippy weathered  crates, dried mums, chippy pumpkin sign & solo pumpkin  made this "harvest farmers market" look. I think what I love  the most is how simple, classic  & traditional  it is! Everything  good fall offers!

This new shelf has become a favorite  of mine these days...pray it doesn't  fall..I won't tell you how it's  clinging  to the wall ha..yikes!

The bake sign completes this  look!!! Everyone knows fall is all about the comfort  foods & piesssss galore, right?!!

I hope you loved this traditional fall post! I don't  think it could get any cozier..

{ DIY Fall Mudroom Closet }

Saturday! HAPPY SATURDAY!!! Weird  blogging on a Saturday  as I usually  blog M- F but this last week has been a rough one. From down family  members weighing on my heart to doctors  appointments for Mark & I..& everything  in between! Mark was recently diagnosed  with a high thyroid  that was causing  a few issues & well my ongoing autoimmune/ vestibular  issues, it's  been HECTIC pals! I decided after a crazy week with many downs  that I needed a cozy fall night with a pal...after a zillion errands first  of course ha! I lit a candle amongst the mess, made homemade chili, put a playlist  on & OPENED THE PAINT haha..Can you guess where this is going? Yup, another DIY!! This is something  I've  been wanting to do for SO long!.......

Achieve this LOOK

. Remove closet door{s}
. Paint the inside of the closet { your choice}
. Hang/ add essentials- coat rack, bench etc..
. Add storage- baskets,  tags, bins etc..
. Decorate & enjoy!

** I had this bench in storage..which worked perfect as a sitting  area + it has a bunch of storage for shoes & boots!

I'm  so glad I finally completed  this little  DIY to our home. It adds so much cozy charm, plus it's  super practical/ useful! If we're  being honest, this closet used to be dark, dirty, unused  & cold! Now it definitely  will  be used for fall & especially  winter..coming soon!

I used a lot of things I had in storage. Few items I did pick up was this rustic coat rack for $6, some bins to match for $8 & some $7 tags to add more cozy charm..Oh & so Mark knows where his hats are hahaha.

I always have a vague  idea of what I want  a space  to look like before going ham on it..This space I wanted super warm, textured & fall-ish with that hint of vintage New  England  feel! Some Sperry boots, rustic tin can filled with fall foliage,  & oversized  cozy chunky pillows..Oh & a vintage gun { non working }. Of course I had to add some mini pumpkins too.

The pillows  are from HomeGoods & Target, foliage  the same  & tin was a gift!

This space came together  so nicely & in under 5 hours!! I love that it's  a useable  space now..Our entryway isn't  huge but a decent  space & this closet is pretty deep, which worked nice for the bench & being able to actually  "walk-in" & be able to sit & put winter gear on. The final touch was the - Stay Awhile- from Hearth  & Hand!

I hope you liked this DIY that you could easily achieve  too.
 •Do you have a MUDROOM or drop zone in your home?

HAPPY Saturday!

{ Vintage Witches Brew Halloween Tablescape }

Hey pals happy Thursday!! I hope your weeks been going smoothly  & you've  been enjoying October  & this fall season  thoroughly!! Today I'm  back with, CAN YOU GUESS??..more Halloween  inspiration!! Like who am I haha. Years of no Halloween  posts & now a few within  a week- crazy!! I'm  going to be honest, I still don't  like the gory bloody decor or too scary but the vintage witch stuff I actually  love. Weird fact about me? I love the Salem  Massachusetts  witch trial historical stuff. We actually  were going to go this year for vacation, but other obligations came up, but soon!! That was my going inspiration for this tablescape idea. I also wanted to share the new antique  table a little  too..The beat up wood top & black chippy paint couldn't  have made a better backdrop. Come see this look below.....

So for this look I used a bunch of things I had & borrowed  the rats from my gram ha! I zoomed over in the Jeep { thank gosh for my gram } & as she was handing them to me I literally freaked  out! I'm  DEATHLY  afraid of rats!!! She was laughing  her butt off at me hehehe.

I wanted a very rustic vintage  authentic  witches brew look. Our table backdrop was perfect I just needed a few witchy  items! I used matches, purple spell bag, vintage spell books, spiders, rats & lots of vintage glass potion style bottles!!

No witches  house would be complete without a broomstick right? I hung this copper one from years ago on our barn dining  room  divider!

I think what brought this whole space together was the glow from the candles honestly! The warm spooky orangey glow right before  I put a spell on you hahaha...just kidding!

Recreate this Look:

• Old black pot
• Few chunky white candle  sticks
• Black cat, rats, spiders etc.. { Dollar Tree}
• Numbers
• Dark covered  book for spells
• Black greenery
• Few glass bottles or beakers.

☆ Simply follow how I layed the items out & voila,  a spooky vintage  tablescape of your own.

What do you think about this Halloween  tablescape I created? I'm  not going to lie, those rats are creepy hehehe. I'm  off to take a hot bubble  bath & cozy in to watch Hocus Pocus...classic right?!
• What's  your favorite  Halloween  movie?

Happy Wednesday!
