{ DIY Vintage Christmas Winter Lantern Scene }

Hey everyone!! Thanks for stopping back in on my little blog! The other night while driving around to a few stores with my sister something dawned on me..nobody has put Christmas lights up yet!!! I know Thanksgiving is just now here, but I mean for our little area & even our street that's not normal..I can even admit that it seems like I'm slacking this year ..which truly hurts my heart!!! I look forward to EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS all year long & to see that this year people don't seem in the spirit just makes me sad. Christmas is such a cozy, magical & whimsical time where life truly does slow down & become worry-less & this year it just seems different. This whole year has been insane so I was really looking forward to the holidays! I planned this DIY / post for in December, but after needing some joy & Christmas spirit I decided to move the post up to today!! Ever since adding this huge lantern to our living room full post here:DIY Lantern Chandelier  I've been playing around with adding candles, led lights, greenery etc.. inside! I knew for Christmas I wanted to add something cozy & vintage so this little idea was perfect! I was sorting through all my vintage collected ceramic houses { I have 15 or so } I decided to use some of the stuff for this little vintage scene!! It was the EASIEST & most thrifty Christmas decor/craft/diy EVER! I spent under $10 & it's literally 4 steps! Come take a closer look below!!!

S u p p l i e s:
  • 1 bag faux snow { I used $3 bag from +Walmart
  • 1 Medium or Large Lantern { Mine is from +IKEA USA  }
  • Christmas Decor { Dollar Tree has village decor }
  • LED mini candles for light { Optional }
  • Newspaper to line bottom of lantern { Optional }

D i r e c t i o n s:

Clean the inside of the lantern first. Secondly layer the bottom of the lantern with newspaper , so it's easy to dump the faux snow out after! Thirdly  set your decor you're using inside! If your lantern doesn't have a light like mine, you can place a little LED candle at the top upside down & use tape to hold it.  Juts turn the battery operated LED candle on , stick the tape at the bottom & push it up top of lantern! It seriously was that easy!

It adds so much charm at night! Fun little fact about me..I'm obsessed with vintage anything & that includes cars! I've always wanted a black or turquoise 1950's Bel Air!

I love how the vintage car looks inside with the fence & street light! The moose adds that rustic wintery charm!

Side Note: The moose was an ornament I converted & the car was also an ornament from +Pottery Barn  I painted black & grey! I left a bit of sparkles & red for that Christmas charm!

Do you guys love this DIY as much as I do?? I just love the charming vintage Christmas look & the ease of the project! What's your favorite part?

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday!
