The post itself is very long so I won't be adding much text etc.. I will have links below each room that take you to that specific FULL post on that room though!! Please grab some yummy hot chocolate, pie, eggnog or whatever makes you comforted & take our tour!! I truly hope you guys find it inspiring as you know I try to keep things as practical & thrifty as possible here on TQS!!

This year I went super simple with our porch decor..I used a bunch of chippy thrifted items from our  " treasure" pile & it turned out sooo stinkin' cute!!! I love all the old pieces mixed in with some new & especially the old wooden table legs that came off of a 200 year old table from my grams that her & my late gramps bought!! I only used red in two spaces this year & this porch was definitely calling for some traditional red hehe

This is my most favorite kitchen & dining room Christmas decor to date in both our homes so far!! I went really rustic, yet whimsical & super simple with lots of greenery & pops of gold in both areas! The mix brings such a warm cozy country farmhouse feel in our little suburban cottage!!

Our living room aka our "upper living room" I carried with the same theme from the kitchen & dining room..Very rustic, neutral & filled with greenery & crisp white lights paired with lots of vintage accents!

This space is located in our lower level & where we have our largest tree { we have 3 total }! Our lower level is already a lodge style with whites, creams, browns & pops of sage green so I went with a super fresh "holly" green & pops of blue theme with more vintage goods popped in for that rustic charm!

Dang this space gave me a run for my money today eek..I'm feeling really under the weather & this space just wasn't photographing great..but I thought I'd share this super cozy & relaxing space to unwind at night anyways, because it's so magical I just wish I could have captured it more !!

This bear has special meaning..One day I'll share, but he's always in our room no matter what. & he looks so cute with the decor so I tossed him on the bed hehe

Pillows from +HomeGoods

{ Fresh Cottage Inspired Blue & Green Vintage Christmas }

Let me tell you guys a little secret of mine...I l o v e Christmas, but boy can it get busy especially blogging each room & putting together the full Holiday Home Tour! I'm currently sitting here at 3am typing this for Friday & ready to fall asleep, but another little secret..I LOVE MY JOB! I absolutely love being able to blog & share our current home with you all & give you ideas for the average home! Around Christmas I have like 60 hr work weeks hahaha..Lots of prep & time to get these posts out to you all! Today I'm sharing our large tree in our lower level!!! I went super out of the norm this year & decided I wanted to go with a Fresh Cottage Inspired Blue & Green Vintage Christmas!! I got the idea after spotting a blue & green plaid blanket from +Walmart  & then some blue & green holiday berry greenery from +Michaels Stores !! The look of the fresh, but vintage style Christmas had me dreaming up ideas or than the traditional white or red Christmas themes! I'm pretty pleased at how it turned out too..Keep in mind this is our lower level & the lighting isn't the greatest! So grab some hot cocoa & join me on this little mini tour!

I picked this garland up +HomeGoods  for under $15 & ended up making some ornaments out of them!

Our lower level was already a rustic /lodge theme so this Christmas "theme" was perfect! I love the fresh but vintage feel! The holly branches are from +Michaels Stores ! The moose art is from my crafty mom!

I just set this toolbox next the tree as I was moving our regular decor around & I fell in love with the rustic touch & the white chippy handle! I added some simple milk glass masons from @marshalls & some ribbon & instant charm for close to nothing!

See that green & plaid throw? That was actually my inspiration for this year's theme down here! The amazing artwork on the wall are complimentary of  my BFA sister!!!

These blue glass masons are pretty much my favorite! They're super old & paired so well with our other decor!

Those "NOEL" letters are from an antique store in Frankenmuth & they were a gift from my auntie! They were the finishing touches to the mantel after I searched high & low for them after I stored them away last Christmas!

What do you think of this year's Christmas theme in our lower level? I hope you all have a lovely Friday enjoying the beginning of December!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday & weekend!!
** MONDAY WILL BE OUR FULL CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR, WITH TWO ADDITIONAL SPACES ADDED TO THIS WEEKS ROOM TOURS! :)

{ Cottage Style Cozy Neutral Christmas Mantel }

I've been so excited to get this post out!!!! I wanted to share our cozy rustic Christmas fireplace mantel with you guys because, 1- I painted the mantel box white which I love, & 2 because our Holiday Home Tour will be live soon I wanted to give you a sneak peek! This year really has been flying by & life has been super busy..I went extremely simple & neutral this year with just simple pops of greens, whites & to add a bit of elegance some pops of simple gold bulbs! I used basically everything I had, with the exception of some simple new thrifty & vintage pieces to complete this space! What I love the most is that this space is so simple that just about anyone could recreate it for close to nothing! The cozy feel is exactly what I was going for, with that pop of festive charm! Enough rambling..Come see this space below!!!

This tray was a DIY that I was meaning to blog, but never got the time to. I love the white wash chalk paint paired with the white fireplace & the gold bulbs I set on it! The bulbs are from +Walmart  I added some simple pinecone candles & a mini Christmas tree & done! Super simple & cozy!

I was looking for some super affordable pillows , but wasn't having any luck until shopping with my sister one night! I got this two pair of really nice quality " Peace & Joy" from +Walmart  for $10!!!!!

The skis are vintage & add so much dimension & height to this space! I love how they lay against the vintage doors next to the TV!

These rustic frosted trees are from +Hobby Lobby !

Another free vintage item is this rusted out little metal toolbox!! I spotted it at my grams & had to "borrow" it! I just filled it with some lit garland & another easy element was added effortlessly!

I love how the baskets under the table from +HomeGoods  & the one behind the wreath & the blanket basket tie everything together!

The vintage skates are my favorite!! They add so much charm & character along with the vintage candlestick holder!

I really hope this space gave you some inspiration to decorate this season! I hope going simple & thrifty also gives you some ideas, because honestly practical & thrifty is what TQS is all about!  What's your favorite item to decorate with?

Happy Wednesday!!

P.S. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for another Christmas room post & our FULL HOLIDAY HOME TOUR COMING SOON!
