{ Fresh & Wintery Country Cottage Style Dining Room }

Ohhh Tuesday I hope you're nice to me hahah! It's been such a nice longgg weekend & to be honest I'm kind of sad to see it go!! I mentioned in my post from yesterday how I don't like the New Year, but for some reason I have a good feeling about this year!! We had  a nice relaxing NYE & we're starting fresh both mind, body & house haha! All I have left to do is organize Christmas in our clean lower level. I have a little surprise coming up about that too & I'll be Vlogging  it hopefully! Anyways today I'm here to share with you a part of our home that is refreshed for the New Year & it's our dining room!! It's so cozy,yet clutter free & still properly decorated for winter without being too festive!! Come see more down below..

I got this vision in my head that I wanted a super fresh country cottage look with lots of pops of blue & fresh green! The wicker wood baskets for texture the pops of blue cozy plaids & just super cozy relaxed! I knew I needed a few items to complete this look so I picked up this white/ blue stripe runner & paired it with this blue & white check tea towel! I left some pine trees out for that winter look & then added some bright fresh topiary greenery! I completed this look by popping some candlesticks on the table for warmth & voila!

I went crazy with the blue & white ticking stripe for accents! I don't know why I was craving this cottagey blue/white stripe & bright greens! I picked up a runner, towels, apron & oven mits plus two pillow covers...overkill-NEVER!! ha!

I've been wanting to add this lead window that is chippy blue painted for awhile ,but didn't have a spot..She's now home haha. I stuck it here in this little corner of the dining room & love!!

I love this little rustic pine tree paired with the blue /white tea towel & jute accents! It screams fresh wintery vibes right?!

I must say it feels nice to come into the New Year with a fresh clean feeling in the house. I still am purging more items which I do every year around this time..weird ehh? Winter cleaning instead of spring cleaning for the win maybe haha! How do you start the new year? Any decor traditions? Leave them below, I'd LOVE to hear them!!

Happy Tuesday!

{ Cottage Style Winter Coffee Table with IKEA Haul Items + Vlog & Updates }

HAPPY  N E W  Y E A R everyone!!! If you've been following the blog for the last 4 years you would know I don't like the new year for some reason... I think it's the change which I'm horrible with, the unknown & the overwhelming sensation that I NEED to do better than last! With that being said, first I want to apologize for not posting for the last week...from a business standpoint that hurts,BUT from a life point that is everything I needed. I have been sick with a winter cold for 2 weeks & then on top of that I got a bladder infection. It's nothing to complain about but as you can imagine I needed some rest. I also just wanted to enjoy our last few holiday days together & that was the best gift EVER!! We got to have our niece over to open presents & she about screamed when she opened the ever so popular"Hatchable" hahah. My dad was also able to come over for quite a bit & it was the best time! Him seeing Kayla { our niece} open her gifts really cheered him up & not having to cook for the first time in 7 years was soo refreshing for me. Just the simple 6 of us was the BEST!! I put our Christmas decor away a few days ago & the fresh clean look has me loving  winter decor all over again!! I wanted a fresh house to start the New Year & let me tell you- IT FEELS GREAT!! We had a blast getting takeout with my sister tonight, enjoying cheap champagne  while watching the festivities unfold in NYC..See my haul here on my VLOG channel:YouTube  { Be sure to subscribe for free updates}.
*See more of my finds styled on our winter coffee table below!

I wanted to keep the cozy holiday look without all of the clutter/Christmas...I knew I needed some new items & I wanted to get enough to spruce the upper living room, dining room & fireplace up...So what better place than IKEA to grab some basic items to style these spaces!
**See the VLOG: HERE for the full haul with me!!

I added this candle minutes after I dropped the one from IKEA I picked up for $2..Although I love this candle from @homegoods that smells like Abercrombie & Fitch, I did LOVE the creamy vanilla one I picked up..boo!

The greenhouse was a last minute snag & I'm so glad my sister talked me into it haha. I filled it with some faux snow, string lights & greenery from IKEA. I also added greenery in the pillow basket & pillow covers from IKEA!

I'm not a coffee fan, but this morning & afternoon we just snugged in bed sipping hot Chia tea & vanilla cappuccinos..winning right into 2018 haha! It was soo nice to have downtime with Markie!

See I wasn't lying about being cozy all day..hence the slippers & hippie pj pants! My goals for 2018 are to be more simple, accepting of change & better at this time passing thing I despise sooo much. My hopes for 2018 are that my dad's health gets better as well as all family, peace for everything wrong in the world right now,tougher laws for animal abuse & to grow my blog more etc..basically things I'm passionate about and hope to share more with you guys!

What do you guys think about this winter coffee table & IKEA haul? I'll be sharing the other spots from the haul soon!! I'm curious, do you decorate for winter? When does your Christmas go away?

Happy Monday!!

{ Cozy Styled Cottage Christmas Cabinet }

Hey everyone & happy Friday!! I hope your week has been filled with everything lovely & festive as the holidays are coming to an end.. This year I have something I would like to confess to you guys...I feel like I've cheated you on Christmas post..I really do & I'm sorry!! This season just seemed to fly by for some reason & I'm starting to realize what my parents always said " cherish the small things because when you're older they go so fast". SO T R U E.. Ugh, I already have a hard time with change so this something that is hard to chew on as well, especially because I love the holidays SO MUCH! Today I thought I would share another area in our upper living room that I styled & never shared...I also will be adding to our 2017 Holiday Home Tour HERE!

One of these days I'll get around to cleaning & styling the inside of this cabinet...for now we use it for storage of extra goods & random frames + greenery!

I picked up the "Merry Christmas" garland from @HomeGoods & the silver garland I'm not quite sure..I went with all cool icy tones in our upper level , so these two things matched perfectly for the icy whimsical cottage vibe our upper level has going on this year!! The cabinet was a makeover for under $10 HERE

This green stitch Christmas tree pillow is also from HomeGoods & I picked up two..The 4.5ft flocked tree is from Walmart! I love this little space in our upper living room! You can see our warm Christmas lower level HERE

Are you feeling behind this Christmas? What do you think about this space? I think Christmas needs to start Nov. 1st hahah so we can have more holiday time hehe! Wishing you all a lovely Friday & start to our holiday weekend..I'll have a new VLOG up soon on my  YOUTUBE VLOG CHANNEL

Happy Friday!

{ Simple Cozy Christmas Kitchen Decor +VLOG }

Oh heyyyy Sunday & everyone haha! I hope your weekend was amazing & festive. We had a little get together Friday, Saturday worked on some home stuff & enjoyed time with out niece at the light-fest while sipping on some yummy milkshakes..pretty perfect Saturday if your ask me!! Today I'm sharing another cozy space in our home that I always decorate for Christmas but honestly just have been so busy I forgot to post earlier for inspiration!!! It's one of those spots that most people wouldn't think to decorate much but for me noooo space is safe from Christmas decor ha! I'm also sharing a more in depth look on my new vlog --> VLOG Channel
This is something new, but I figured it would be nice to show people how a blogger styles a space the practical way/ behind the scenes etc.. It's nothing fancy but it's real & I HOPE you'll subscribe.. Anyways come check out this cozy little spruced up Christmas space below..

As I said on my vlog channel, most of my blog post are things that stay like they are photographed & aren't just "staged" but things like the stool & glass milk bottles were for photos & I LOVE that I can share that with you guys/ "behind the scenes". I've branded myself on being a Practical Home Blogger & I hope you all appreciate that..with all the other staged ones I'm among.

I love these trees on the side of our sink & just added some thrifty plastic silver bulbs & a cute - Merry Christmas - sign! See the vlog for how I hung it etc..

I know I'll get this question at least once.." Why leave your cleaning supplies out"? I love Mrs. Meyers & I honestly like the Christmas packaging & we use them daily!

I love the simple rustic cottagey look with still being functional but with a bit of Christmas warmth & cheer!!

The rustic greenery sign was a DIY long ago that I never blogged. It's soo imperfect but old as well that it had that vintage chipped looked & I love it hanging here! You guys know I love my signs & this little charming tin one was perfect & freee!

What do you guys think about the kitchen decorated for Christmas? Do you decorate your kitchen counters or kitchen window ledge? Be sure to check the VLOG out too..Let me know what you guys think about all of this!!!

Happy Monday!
